Claiming to be the biggest fish in an ever decreasing barrel isn't much of a claim.

This forum is watched by the same people who ignore what they not only hear but see so forgive me for having an opinion.

The Aul wasn't always like this , there was a time it looked the MSL it straight in the eye toe to toe.

I don't blame the learned people either.

To be fair buddy it’s not just junior football. The standard has dropped across the board and is only going to get worse as the years go by. You don’t see young fellas out on the street anymore kicking a ball around. Even at intermediate level bar a few teams the standard has dropped something crazy. I’ve taken in a few MSL div 1 and 2 games over the past couple of years and it ain’t much better than AUL.

Dylan Cambridge changed the game in grattan on Saturday what a performance, has to be in that team

Watched both games the weekend thought Grattan were unlucky had few fellas away that would of made big difference and yesterday game did think knocka deserved it Tabb was handful second half but it was like watching old knocka Celtic never gave up from being 3 1 down grangevale well organised think they’ll have say in Premier this year.

Standard of refs is a farce also. Refs afraid to penalise certain teams in case they kick off. Will and has cost a few teams silverware and lads missing out on work over shocking challenges. F all being done about it as usual

I’m fed up of hearing about how the business league has over taken the AUL and it’s a better league blah de blah. Yes it is run better, the argument could be made it’s even run better then the MJL but the standard is nowhere near the standard of the Aul. Bar the cow none of them teams would survive in prem or prem A and might be mid table Div 1. The teams in the lower leagues wouldn’t beat the likes of blackstone grattan bother Rathcormac Coachford b. Steady on

Even at that I watched the cow play village multiple times over the years and they’ve never been able to get by them, they played a heavily depleted Glenthorn in Preseason and in all honesty I thought they were very lucky to get a draw, preseason I know but watching the game glenthorn looked far superior apart from several mistakes at the back which is fairly standard for them let’s be honest

Just seen the CBL have announced they’re going to enter an Oscar traynor team, this does look embarrassing for the AUL I won’t lie

Thinking like this why would anybody enter. The CBL have good players and why would they not want to try it and see how they get on. The aul missed out on a golden era of footballers and very well could have challenged we have spectacular players in every position and it definitely would have been worth a chance. The aul doesn’t care about any of that once every team pays their registration fee they are happy. Joke of an organization and the CBL committee are really showing up the AUL committee

I don't think a AUL would be much better versus the top tiers of Junior football around the country.

AUL thinking might be not to highlight the gap any further.

Outrageous statement.
There could be an unbelievable team put together out of what’s there in the Aul
Start with the grangevale keeper, one of the best in cork at any level
Plenty of former league of Ireland players
Is there not an Irish amateur international with Coachford amongst others.
A very competitive team could be made very easily

Aul would be up there with the players thats true out the divisions that's goes without saying alot of player on most teams would get into any senior side and most are dropping down to aul because the can't give time over work ect so ya it should be aul rather than cbl
