If that's the case Dermot should get off with that, especially if the referee hasn't seen it.
As for the second part, getting knocked out!!, well that could run for awhile, and might go down different avenues, seems a very serious incident. Cheers bluewhitearmy.

Reports have varied between he threw himself on the ground to he was knocked out with a headbutted, punched as he was hitting the ground and kicked in the head as he was lying on the ground. Magic bullet stuff.

Two seperate incidents being discussed with the start and end of your post there. I've no connection to any individual or either club involved and I saw every second of it.

He was having words with a player and threw himself to ground for no reason.

All players from Boro rushed over to get involve thinking he had been hit Balla lads rushed in to help Fitzgerald.

Ref flashed red card at Balla player even though he saw nothing. He was got up off the ground and while I can't say for sure he did look like he made a bit of a smirk Balla player had a go at Ryan for acting to get him sent off. One of the Balla management team rushed in to try and calm it down and get his players away and was told to "F**k off you scumbag" by Ryan.

Both sets of players and management teams got into a bit of pushing shoving and shouting. I didn't see him get a headbutt I did see him get punched by someone who wasn't playing the game or wearing any club colours he got stood on a bit cos he was on the floor in the middle of both sides still pushing shoving.

Dermot Fitzgerald could be looking at a lengthy ban. Ref must have seen something to red card him after the final whistle. Nobody deserves to get knocked out over a football match but if anyone does...it's the gerbil seller.

It is very hard to condone anyone getting knocked out at a Junior Football match, and then to have that video and picture posted all over social media to be ridiculed and sneared at by fools. Very poor taste.

The ref had his back to the incident turned round when he heard the commotion seen Ryan on the ground and flashed a red for no reason whatsoever ridiculous out of him to not just admit he hadn't seen anything tbh. Ref 100% did not see a thing of the first incident which he have red for.

There should be linesmen at all premier games , if there was linesmen present the balla player would never have got a red poor decision by the ref, it was a competitive game with great spirit from both sides on and off the pitch.

Good point about having assistant referees. Come to think of it, there was a meeting about 6 years ago with Premier League clubs and the LDMC where clubs were asked about using 3 officials for each game, Janesboro FC were the only club to support it, other clubs main issue was the cost of the extra officials. In fairness to the LDMC they wanted it in but needed clubs to be behind it.

It must have been terrible for people, probably some families to witness this carry on in a public park, bad enough standard of football dropping then this.Pretty tame affair Regional and Fairview,Regional decent enough ,View look in real trouble.Carew in flying form, with the signing of Rainsford must be contenders.
