Having an AOH cup medal does mean a lot to everyone who has one and anyone that doesn't have one would I'm sure would like to have one, the semis used to always be played in Turners cross as well and were a very big occassion, but by making them two leg they deprived teams of playing in turners cross yet again, but we have come to expect these types of decisions from the AUL.2 leg semis in the Aoh,,,,,,,,,, complete an utter joke an mockery of the most highly regarded competition in not just Cork, but those that hold an Aoh as there highest acolade,an i have no doubt some will say sure tis only a Cork thing,,,,,,, havin a Aoh medal used to mean a lot cause it was a nightmare to reach a final, now we have 2 bites at the cherry,,,,,,,,, just my opinion,an i know its been this way 4 or 5 seasons
On the refs thing ,,,,,,,,,,.
was at a game once where a player lambasted a ref,,,,, the ref returned fire an asked. " do i tell you how bad you were".,,,,,,,,im the first to say its a poor standard,,,,,,, but how would ye feel if refs had a thread about the worst clubs to ref in cork,,,,,,an score them on a match card,,,...Comment

They had good men working with them and look how they treated them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My idea would be to improve referreeing standards by cutting out repeat errors for a start. Twice we had a grade one official this season who made an error twice. He compounded the error twice when he had ways not to. If that came up at a refs meeting a month or six weeks later and they discussed how to handle it next time, that official would learn. We won one of those games by the way!
We had one of the top officials on the local game make a horrendous error a few years back that did change momentum in a game. He is still a top official in my opinion. However, for example, there is another Grade 1 official who I have seen three times this year and he gets five or six decisions right out of ten. He should not be Grade 1. Grade 1 needs to be getting 8 or 9 right.
Someone mentioned managers and players need to be better. What is being missed is that we pay to play - they get paid. Just looking for value for money.
The AUL would take any good footballing man on board. They are overworked amateurs.
Anyone who was at the meeting when the missing money story broke saw the AUL chairman in pieces. If he knew about the money and was acting, then he should get an Oscar!!
Best of luck Tricks!Comment

Why not it is the biggest cup in the AUL season and was always treated that way and what made it different from the other cups was that the semis were played in Turners cross and that the draw for the semis was a big occassion to,Comment

If you want to become a member of the AUL committee then you need your own club to nominate you and two or three other clubs I think to nominate you as well and then it goes to the AGM for proposal and to be passed or thats the way it used to be unless they changed that to, and then your on the committee. Then after the AGM the committee decide on their own committee and who takes up what positionsComment

A quality vote it is too! Never say never in football but I don't see in the next few years. I'm getting my fill of football now with 4/5 days a week!! Hard to walk away from your club so I think they will have to relax that rule in the future. How would that work though?
I think Cross days were reduced for AUL by MFA so either semis or two finals had to go.
I'm split on it, like FA cup in England. The more people who play at the Cross the better but something special about a final?
Wouldn't a double header somewhere be the answer? Same time in Casement, Blarney or Carrigaline?Just remember, every kick makes me stronger and more determined. Indians always come back!Comment
