I wasn't there Donie but I thought it a bit strange that they gave a monetary sum and not an attendance figure.
I do know that the Avondale underage players were subsidised by the club and there were comps about for this also.

They had no tickets or scanning facilities, just cash at the turnstile. Just gave out a rounded off cash figure in the end, I guess.
Hard to tell how many in the stand when you're in it yourself (!), but would estimate an attendance of 800-1,000, including any subsidized kids and comps. Hardly anyone in the other three stands, which were closed off at KO, but later very, very thinly populated.

Enjoyed the game; could have been an absolute cracker had UCD a decent striker or two. They had 3 or 4 lads very good on the ball, to be fair.

Impressive stuff from Avondale: 30 games unbeaten since losing the 2010 Final. No goals conceded in their seven games this season.

Good highlights. Did UCD even cross the half way line? Some outfit Avondale are. Fair play John Ryan and all his troops, a superb achievement.
The above is all opinion and based on personal experience. Unless stated otherwise it is not a dig at anybody, well probably none of you lot.
