Also when you move out it will be to a ground that was paid for by Fingal , yes ???

Any news on new players youre hoping to bring in?
This is Espanyols pre-season youre reffering to yeah? Because i cant imagine they would be willing to play Fingal while their season is still in full flow. Fair play if you do get a friendly against them during the summer. Might get a few more people intersted with a match like that like that.

Fair play for being the first shels fan to give fingal a compliment of sorts.
We should have a rivalry but it doesnt mean we cant wish each other well.

Darren has joined on lone and so far Eamon Zayed Gary O neill,Shaun Willams and Ross Gaynor are all in with Three or four more announced by the end of the week just need to tidy up a few bits before signing no major problems.

The link with Espanyol comes from Swords been twined with El Prat a Town just outside Bacelona Like Sporting Espanyol are Building a new Home in El Prat the new Stadium will be ready for next season and looks great. the plan would be for the team to go over for a training camp and the twining Committee to meet with the powers in Espanyol and try to come to some arrangment.

Eamon Zayed? Gary O'Neill? We didn't offer Gary O'Neill enough so he chose you's...
But where are you getting all this money from? Your backers will fund the club for another 4 years is it? They would be better off investing in a stadium before increasing your wage bill ala Dublin City FC...
Your new stadium has to be in Swords if it ever gets built - massive potential there.

Thanks for the reply. Im from Swords but hadnt realised it was twined with any spanish towns. Learn something new every day I guess. Good luck with the plan anyway. Also I agree with Buller, if possible your new ground ideally should be in Swords. Its the biggist potential for a fanbase I would think.

Agree with you. The fact is the swords stadium has been put on hold unfortunately. The lusk project is not a bad alternative until the swords one is back on track.

I was one of the few who thought your new football club might just work. Go back and check if you don't believe that

                    BUT

Your move to Lusk will kill the club.
I thought if you stuck around in Santry for too long you'd die but at least the transport links to Santry are good. You'll be dead and buried in Lusk within two years I predict.

Your only way to get new fans was through Swords and buying initial success.

You know Lusk is in the middle of nowhere.. Don't fool yourself that people will get the train to Lusk !! I'm not even sure trians run late enough on a Friday night to bring people home. I live in Donabate and last train to town used to be about 8 or 9 in the evening.

You won't survive if you move to Lusk and you know it.

If clubs like Shamrock Rovers are only getting crowds in the hundreds in the lower regions of the Premier you know Lusk is a disaster waiting to happen. You may have initial success with the funds going in but when you see your side promoted and struggling near the foot of the Premier Division you'll know exactly what support you have.

                      Fair enough.
Ill still stick to my point earlier, If its a choice between santry and Lusk, I pick lusk. As i said the swords stadium is on hold, nothing we can do about that. If the club is going to try and create some kind of identity, then that identity will be better created away from morton. Its too close to the Dublin city clubs. Swords is the best option no doubt and hopefully that will become a reality but im quite happy to wait for that reality in lusk.

The last train is not 8 or 9 and nobody is fooling themselves. I know the realities and im not saying anything will work for certain but im quite happy for my club to try (fail or not). Im quite tired of all the talk about how it wont work and you may all be right but i for one choose to believe in what my club is doing (rightly or wrongly) because i refuse to become like some of you. Give me a few years
