This is supposedly a leaked image of Liverpool's new 125th anniversary jersey for the 2017-18 EPL season:



I'm a fan of it's simplicity. Hopefully New Balance can do something similar for their future Ireland jersey designs instead of covering them with the more typical garish lines and patterns.

If we end up with that template in green, no sponsor and with an orange stripe on cuff and collar you would have a classic there and then. Preferably in emerald green again.

The Republic of Ireland jersey is recognisable all around the world and is synonymous with the passion that our players and our supporters are renowned for. Some great jerseys. I noticed he tweeted Ronnie Whelan about getting the Russia jersey from 1985 signed and he replied that he would arrange to meet him during the international break back in March to sign the jersey.

I remember bidding on it at the time; it was a low auction, where the lowest unique bid won the jersey. You'd have to imagine that he tracked down the winner and bought it off them; it'd be a bit of a coincidence that he won that auction himself.
