And Bohs are going back up there next week as well!

Could this be the greatest escape since Jock Stein's legendary feat of winning the last six games at Dunfermline straight after being appointed?!

If UCD stay up, it wont be because of any great players or management, itll be just down to how incredibly bad Derry have been over the last 13 months.

The way Derry are playing they dont deserve to be in the Premier division.

It'll be because of both. The improvement we've made in the 13 games since Pete Mahon took over has been incredible and shouldn't be overlooked. With Doolin, we had a manager who didn't care radiating his attitude to the players. Under Pete Mahon, with seven games less, we're won more points, scored almost as many goals, conceded far fewer, have kept eight clean sheets compared to two under Doolin, scored more than once awat from home for the first and second times this season, won away for the first time this season and generally looked like a completely different team. Mahon has to take much of the credit.

That said, I remember saying last season that the only reason Derry stayed up last season was because of David Kelly. They started appallingly for the first third of the season, had a good run for the second third, including a Cup win, and faded the moment he left. They've not done anything really to improve things since then, so it's no surprise to see them struggling again. In fact, it shows how bad a job Doolo did at Belfield this season that it's only now we think we can finish ahead of Derry!

          Run in

          Derry's four games left are:
          Cork (A)
          Bohs (H)
          Rovers (H)
          Waterford (A)

They shouldn't get anything out of Bohs or Cork (although Cork are playing badly recently). God only knows how Waterford will play and I wouldn't be surprised to see Derry beat Rovers. That's probably 4 points which would mean we need 6 to finish ahead of them given our better goal difference.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.

Excellent! That's no longer insanely improbable.

I still say seven. I feel they'll pick up a point from Cork/Bohs
