    Next 4 league games

3 at home and away at Derry - 9 points should be the target and minimum of 7.

As far as I'm concerned anything less than 9 is unacceptable. A draw against Derry is a possibility as well if we get a run of form going and if their poor results continue.

I'd take 7 points now if offered them given our poor start but I'd be disappointed with whichever home game we didn't win.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.

Wouldn't go quite that far. We've had a tough start to the season (are Sligo still full-time?), but yeah, would be looking for seven points from the next four games anyway. Possibly sneak a point in Derry given how they're playing at the moment?

These are the games we have to be winning. We can't afford not to take full points off the weaker teams or we will be dragged into a relegation dogfight.

          Sligo are full-time, bar O'Grady.

A point in Derry is possible, but it will be clearer closer to the time whether that should be the target.

I agree we should be winning them, but if you play three games against players rated 100 points less than you in chess, those are the games you should be winning, yet statistically you can only actually expect to win two of the three. That's kind of where I'm coming from with regards the seven points.

Pretty much. It rarely rarely ever works out the way it should for UCD over a multiple game patch. Consider how often you can recall us winning back to three games in a row or three out of four in the Premier, last season's Kavanagh inspired final flourish excepted.

We lost to Sligo( away) for the first time in 11 years... it's going to be a struggle!

Do you actually post anything that isn't bordering on the suicidally depressive?

1 point out of 12 failed to score in 3 games out of four? What's there to be happy about ?

I haven't seem UCD this season so I can't comment on them. After you play Waterford I might be able to gauge yez a bit.

I haven't been to any of our away games but I've been told we did well in Derry, should've destroyed Waterford and apart from ten minutes of madness weren't too bad against Pats. Now I accept there could be "some" bias in these reports but from having seen us against Bohs, I can assure you we will be up for it. Eddie's put a real drive into these lads and I expect us to stand up to anyone. Also we will be wanting to prove ourselves.

But I also know as you've had the better of us in recent years we should be careful. I tell you now though our fans will be expecting a win.

I see it as being scrappy and hardfought. May the better team win.

There's no need to bring it up every single time you post though.

Well, we said 7 was minimum requirement of the 4 games and 9 the target. We now have 9 out of 3 games with the next one winnable, although not easy, at home to Longford.

                          Conclusion = good !

The most pleasing aspect (although I was not in Derry) is 4 clean sheets in a row and only 2 goals conceded in 6 games. We do appear to get our 2 banks of 4 in place pretty well when being attacked.

Admittedly, only the Derry game was against one of the top sides but the last few weeks has been encouraging. Of concern was that Cork battered us in the first half but I thought we recovered well in the second.
