Gregg is a very good shot stopper, that's about it though. He hasn't played regular football since he left us about 4/5 seasons ago, well maybe 1 season but that's about it. In saying that though, there are defo worse keepers in the eL than him.

Dunno. Hopefully E100k. Maybe a bit of a stretch to say there's "no way" Derry would afford him, but I would hope that any transfer fee wuold well eclipse our record in recent years of E20k for Cawley to Shels as Cawley had no Irish caps and Quigley has 5 U-21 caps and a B cap, and has been with us longer. Suppose it's up to yourselves if you can afford that.Comment

Stockport rival Derry in Quigley chase
January 5, 2007
Coca-Cola League Two side Stockport County have joined the race for UCD’s Republic of Ireland under-21 international goalkeeper Darren Quigley.
Quigley is all set to leave the Students, with clubs at home and abroad interested in his services.
He spent time on trial with Scottish Premier League side Falkirk, while Derry – the 2006 eircom League runners-up and winners of both FAI and League Cups – lead the chase at home as they seek a replacement for David Forde, who joined Cardiff City last month.
But Stockport manager Jim Gannon, himself a former Shelbourne teammate of new Derry boss Pat Fenlon, could try to lure the 20-year-old netminder to Edgeley Park, where he spent time on trial in November.Comment

Didn't know Stockport were as low as League 2. It's not exactly the best place for Darren to exhibit his talents.
Where would Derry have the cash to sign Quigley?Comment
