I'd rather go Leinster Senior League than Leinster rugby.

This Sammo praise baffles me. He's a hard worker but a forward that has serious issues when it comes to shooting and heading can't be a legitimate front runner for player of the season.

And we can sell the other resulting striker to Drogheda.

We've already had the other striker, due to an accident yet to happen where the machine from the Fly is made also a time machine when Bald Student replaces a key component with tar. His name was Kevin Grogan.
You can't spell failure without FAI

Grogan could run at defences, was good on the ball and could shoot. I was thinking of Glen Fitzpatrick.

                Slightly off topic
but does anyone else have trouble recognising Glen since he lost his magic hair?

No. He's the really shít one up front for Drogheda, easily recognised.

I thought he was a midfielder?

Attacking midfielder/forward. Used to wear the number ten jersey.

You need a goalscorer, Sammon doesn't score, do the maths lads.

He's only had two games in a row in which he should have scored. Every striker goes through a blip. He's proven this season that he can finish. He doesn't score as often as you would want him to, but 5 goals isn't bad in comparison to other strikers in the league.

Also without Sammon in our team this season we would do doing a lot worse than how we are. Because of his ability to hold up the ball we have more possession of the ball and are then able to set up our own attacks.

UCD strikers who score tend not to stay UCD strikers very long... do the history lad !
