    Conan Byrne

The match against Limerick was the first time I saw him play and I have to say that I was impressed with what I saw. Conan seems to have good pace and is able to beat his man and put a good cross in. I think he or Pat Kavanagh would be better options than Podge on the right wing.

I reckon he's one of the slowest players I have ever seen and I thought the crossing from the right was woeful throughout the whole match.

Well I must have imagined it then. I seem to remember him getting by his man easily enough so that's where I got his pace from.

He got by his man plenty of times on Saturday, though his crossing wasn't the best. But then it was his first game after four months or so out with injury. Not sure about deposing Podge (Pat Kavanagh will be back for the Derry game hopefully), but he played well if rustily against Limerick.
