    Bus to Waterford

Why aren't we planning on running a bus? Was the one earlier in the season not a success? We should at least advertise it and see if we get enough response to warrant running it.

Programme said "probably" Drogheda. We'll look at Waterford as well. It's fairly soon isn't it? Major problem is that it's E400 to Kilkenny, so you'd be looking at E600+ to Waterford. A fair bit of money when you have trains for E30 and cars available as well. Just stay over the night and have a few pints.

Well €600 by €20 each would be 30 people. Not out of the question to get something near that if everyone that goes to away games is available. I'd say we could definitely get 20 people and I'm sure most people wouldn't have a problem paying €5 extra if needs be.

            Lads,

I cant see how the bus driver would charge an extra 200 notes to make the extra 60 mile round trip from Kilkenny to Waterford. You would be nearly better off hopping on the train and doing an overnighter in Waterford. Lots of Dublin & northern based fans do it. Waterford is easy to get to either by rail or bus and the timetables are very accomodating and convenient. If any of you are interested in staying overnight, there are some B&B's near the ground. Plus there are quite a few Waterford hotels that do group deals and that being not a big place, the RSC is very close to the town centre.

            Let me know.

P.S. If ye brought down a full bus load........fair fvcks to ye if ye do it.

How long does the train take & how far from the station is the RSC by taxi & what are the chances of gettin a taxi from the station at 7:30 on a Friday?

                Train is 2½ hours.

Ground is about ten minutes by car from the train station, traffic permitting.

I think there's a taxi rank at the station; can't remember though.

Sure, and we should have 1200 at our next home game. Have you been talking with Kevin again?

Might be up for heading down on the train alright. How much?

                  EDIT: never mind: http://iarnrodeireann.ie/your_ticket..._enquiries.asp €23/€29.

Seriously though if there would be enough people would a bus be run?

I repeat again, I'd be very interested. Maybe the girlfriend and the younger brother too. Not sure if I would stay overnight though, so I'd personally prefer a bus run.

You should come down. We'll be going for three wins in a row at that stage . Like Partizan, I can't understand how a bus could be 600 euro to Waterford. Ye should get a quote.

If you get the train, I'll ring the club and see could we have a few of the big taxis waiting for you or something. One of the local taxi firms are one of our main sponsors and the club would surely be delighted to have a group of paying away fans. If you decide to do that, let me know and we'll see what the club can do.

An adult 5 day return is 29 euro on the train and we could give ye a hand arranging accomodation.

Ah, we'll be down alright. It's just a question of whether it's in two cars and a bit of a train or a bus. We'll check out a price anyway and see what happens.

Bluemovie, dunno if I'll personally take any of that up, but it's much appreciated.
