    Sligo vs UCD

We are playing terrible at the moment and I think part of that is down to Mahon and his tactics/team selection. I remember a five minute period yesterday when we played the ball on the ground and we had most of the possession during that period.

We have now gone 6 games without a win, drawing 3 of those. I have a feeling that could be due to Tony Mc's absence from the side and maybe we have been a bit unlucky(e.g. vs Bray).

I think Sligo will win this handily enough, 2-0. I would be surprised and delighted if we can manage to get even a draw in The Showgrounds. This is what I think our team next week should be:

    GK: Quigley
    RB: Mahon
    CB: McNally
    CB: Shorthall
    LB: Kenna
    RM: Kav
    CM: Tony Mc
    CM: Dicker
    LM: Dazza
    ST: Sammon
    ST: Byrne

We have conceded plenty this season plus one of our best defenders is suspended after been sent off against Shels so it's possible ye will.

Think that's a bit harsh. We've been playing quite well in the last ten games or so with the exception of the Shels game and the Bohs game last night, which was probably to be expected after coming off a hammering. Don't think you can really blame that form on Mahon - just one of those games.

Can't see any change to last night's team unless someone's suspended. I'd like to see Pat Kavanagh given a start, but don't think Podge has done anything to warrant being dropped. Want Byrne to get some match practice up front, so unless it's Podge and Byrne up front with Sammon dropped, then it'll be the same XI, I think.

You'll have to wait until my post in the Predictions League. No point giving information to the enemy!

Enemy? I'm a bit far behind in the league to be considered an "enemy"

Mahons's tactics have fcuked up our season I think. The best I've seen us play this season is when we play the ball on the deck. Bray is the only good performance since the mid-season break ended.

Agree, but it should be changed. Podge hasn't done anything to warrant a starting place ahead of Kav as far as I can see. Kav has had more of an impact in a handful of sub appearances than Podge has had all season(bar 2 games where he scored 2 goals).

Sammon shouldn't be dropped. His link-up play is excellent, when we actually play the ball on the deck. However if we play this long ball sh!te(more than likely) it should be Byrne and Brophy(McWalter now that he has gone) up front.

I'd say he meant me. Level on points(for now at least!) at the last update.

You missed the games against Longford, Cork and Waterford.

Are you saying that we played well against Waterford or have I misread this? The performance against Waterford was awful, as bad as (if completely different to) the Shels game.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.

I disagree to an extent. We started off rubbish but got better as the game went on. It was at least short **** passing rather than long **** passing, which seems to be dmanetc's point.

We stayed rubbish until a couple of late subs, Finn and someone else. Had we been playing anyone other than Waterford, we would have lost by 2 or 3 goals comfortably.
