League Cup semi-final draw

We've got Shels away. Derry host Longford. Game on Monday the 7th or Tuesday the 8th of August, European commitments pending.

Good tie, I think. No travelling. Not sure what sort of team Shels will put out (been first-team so far, but with Europe, they might change things around), but if it's a first-team XI, it's rgeat experience for the likes of Derek Doyle, Brian Gannon, Conor Sammon, Aaron McEniff, etc. If it's a reserve team, it'll still be quality, but we'll have more of a chance of winning!

So Mad Tom was right, but how did he know? No travel expenses. Hopefully now that Shels have the full of their European campaign hitting them they'll be forced to field a weakened team. It'll be interesting to see Mahon's approach. I still harbour hope that this competition will get a Setanta spot and we'll get in it via the League Cup. But I've promised Stu a cup double so we'll get it by default when we win the other one.
