Is there any chance the club won't follow suit? Anyone know how long we had the old crest? It does seem very stupid we've dumped the mottos.

I would say quite a strong chance. Sure, the shorts for the current kit still hav'n't arrived from O'Neills. There's little chance of a new kit any time soon.

I'd say they'll change when they next change kit. I remember Shakespeare saying we were using the "old" crest when we got the scarves in, around a year ago!

They've also removed the two mottos, Ad Astra and Cothrom na Féine.

That confused the hell out of me, I thought it was all one motto.

On the contrary, a new design to sell to those who bought the old ones.

Ad Astra is Latin, "to the stars". The other one is Gaeilge, how does it translate lads?

I wonder do students associate with the new crest any better? Do we have any tangible evidence of the benefits of changing crest? Load of rubbish, to be honest.

We haven't made the money back on the first crop of scarves, so there's no chance we'll be doling out on another batch! It can be our protest against the new crest!

Ah sorry, my fault. Forgot about that post. As I said earlier somewhere, take the idea of linking up with the foreign language students serious, a load turned up at Dayler cheering for us.
