Mick Mc was allegedly scouting Daryl Murphy of WUFC. And the lad must have heard he was in the ground, and got nervous cause he was anonymous.

I was @ the game and the D*ckhead announcer said that McCarthy was there.... Why?? Maybe to make Daryl worried. I thought it was very un-neccesary and just, might just hinder his chance of a big career move to Sunderland or Ipswich. Fair play college fans, ya's really do give it your best... Get all those other silent F-ucks up to help ya's sing.... Advertise it in your programme or something like that. Good win to.... I was hoping for a draw

Not as far as I am aware. The only ref with an affiliation to us in terms of being a former student never does us too many favours anyway .

Yeah, I thought that was strange too. If nothing else, McCarthy probably had far more autographs than necessary to sign, and probably missed more of the match than necessary!

I think the announcer must have got some stick over that because after the game he was justifying his decision to anyone who would listen to him.

Actually it is odd when I think about it. I don't recall him mentioning Brian Kerr being in attendence at a game at the back end of last season.

As regards to the goal being offside, I thought the cross was a cut back? Although I did have two poles blocking my view of it. I guess we might see on eL weekly.

Someone from the UCD Sports Centre, on behalf of the club, used to video all the home games at one point and they sent footage into TV 3.
The videos were also used by the managers and coaches to fix things that went wrong during the games.
Not sure if they were there on Friday night . A lot of the Waterford radio and press people were operating from the Stand so the Press Box was emptier than usual.

I had a very good view of it myself since where we were sitting in the stand, everybody could see, even a couple of neutrals that your left winger was off side by a good two feet when the ball was played through. We roared at the linesman to stick up his flag but he didnt. He was late on a number of occasions (the same guy) in sticking up the flag against both sides and the ref even overruled him when he awarded a throw in to UCD. Overrall the quality of refereeing was **** poor and gave us absolutley nothing.

But let that not take away a sh1ite performance from us and a well marshalled College side.

Ye i heard some kid was told to get lost after showing McCarthy his Ireland jersey with KEANE 6 on the back... Bit bitter from big Mac! Sure Paul McGrath was there and they didn't welcome him!! And Pat Devlin.... No welcome And Pineapple Stu, you didn't get a mention

I've been called out before! Supporters' 7-a-side game at half-time against Longford a couple of years back - John83 and Martinho got the bright idea to give all our names to the PA so he could call out the teams as we walked onto the pitch!
