Aertel says we're promoted. A 1-0 win with Sully scoring. We're over the Cobh hoodoo and I think any score will do. Anyone brave enough to make the trip down South will fill us in on the details but we are back for sure, along with Harps. We can only pray Harps slip up and we can claim the title. As of now we are top but only on goal difference. I hope they turn on the style for the last few games as reading Mahon's comments in the College Tribune he was really ****ed and felt we were taking things for granted. I'd be delighted for him if we were to win the title. But the main objective has been achieved, we are back!

It's Official , we're promoted !
According to a match report in the Sindo, Ramblers rattled the cross bar twice in a minute about 15 minutes from time. Pat SUllivan scored for the Colaiste after 6 minutes and it was a header from a cross by Robert McAuley. Apparently Pat Sullivan beat Rams keeper Hennessey to the ball, and tucked his header away . The line-up according to the Sindo was
U.C.D.- Quigley; Mahon, Kenna, McNally, McAuley; Sullivan, Mc Donnell, Murphy, O'Donnell; DOyle, Martin... no subs.... Can anyone confirm this?Comment

What a year
It's been a great year for Football in Belfield 2004.
First team: Promoted back to Premier Division
Under 21 team: Winners of the South-East Section in the League phase.
Semi-finalists in the Dr. Tony O'Neill Championship having beaten Derry City 3-1 today
Our two weekend Intermediate sides won their respective Divisions of the AUL in the 2003/2004 season.
And the Ladies won the Premier Division , Premier Cup and W.F.A.I. Senior Cup treble this summer. To make it a 3-in-row W.F.A.I. Cups and will play in the Women's U.E.F.A. Cup again next season ( 2005/06)
And if that was not enough the Basketball team beat Shamrock Rovers Hoops last night... in the immortal words of the band Lonestar... " It just keeps getting better!"Comment

The Hurling team didn't do too bad either today.
Monaghan who frustrated us to no end a few weeks ago have injected a bit of life into the run in by holdng Harps to a 0-0 draw with 10 men. We are now 1 point behind Harps with 5 plus goal difference. It's hard to know how this one will finish. Hopefully we can get the title.
