    Amazing Fact

To parody an hillarious thread in the Longford Forum I'll point out that as far as I'm aware the UCD Ladies have never lost a cup game.

Does it point out that this year's ladies' Cup final is apparently the curtain raiser to the Longford-Waterford Cup final? We did make it to Lansdowne after all!

I'm not sure myself. But it looks like someone's boat just sank in shallow water. How close can you get?

It's Ballyclare Comrades, obviously the NI Communist Party team.

Anyone actually going to support the ladies? Will we have any contingent going with the main intention of watching the men's game?

I will if I can, but it's looking unlikely at the moment...

I was going to go to the men's game anyway so I figure it would be only proper to support the girls in blue.

                    Amazing Fact

Next Sunday 24th October in Lansdowne Road with a 13:45 kick off , the girls in Blue take on the Lillywhites in the W.F.A.I. Senior Cup Final.
Can Dundalk win the Cup for the first time?
                    Can U.C.D. make it three-in-a-row?

Four U.C.D. players gained international caps at senior level for the Republic of Ireland last Tuesday in Torshavn. The Republic of Ireland defeated the Faroes by 2-1 and the crucial goal was scored by Caroline Thorpe (U.C.D.)
She was joined in the Irish squad by Sinead Forde, Sylvia Gee and Mary Waldron.

The girls in blue are the Champions of the Dublin Women's Soccer League Premier Division, which is the strongest league in the country. They also won the Dublin League Cup for the First time a couple of weeks ago. They are now going for their 3rd W.F.A.I. Senior Cup title since entering for the first time in 2002. SO they are currently unbeaten in the competition. And they are now also going for the domestic League, League Cup and W.F.A.I. Cup treble. A win on Sunday will see them represent Ireland in the Womens UEFA Cup in 2005, which would also be the third time in succession for the Belfield Belles.

Dundalk themselves have two senior international squad members in goalkeeper Janine Pepper and Midfielder Clare Mulholland and former underage international Sandra Lynch.

Support U.C.D. Ladies on Sunday and hopefully the girls can give a lead that the lads can follow in a few more weeks.

                    Come on the COllege.

CollegetilIDie, I didn't know you were still issuing Press Releases fo the L.F.A.I.

By the way, what's the correct name of the team "Girls in Blue" " Belfield Belles",U.C.D.Ladies or what?

                        Amazing Fact

Anything like that is fine or Larry O'Mahony's Blue and Black army if you like.

P.s. it was not an official press release. But if I was still issuing them it would have looked a bit like that.
