The Bulgarian squad for Euro 2004 was named today - it's in the Irish Times among other places - so I said I'd check my programme from and video of* the Kyustendil game to see if there were any familiar names. There's an I Stoyanov from Levski Sofia in the Bulgarian defence, and Ilian Stoyanov played right-back for Kyustendil in Belfield that day - are they the same??? I know some of that team were Bulgarian internationals, so it's not impossible.
No sign of Mihail Mihailov though!
* - Four years on and still an absolutely brilliant game well worth a watch! What was Kenfold on that day?!?!
