Where's Finn gone?

Doolin's been linked with nearly everyone at the club. I assume most of it is total codswallop (always wanted to find a use for that word), invented by the papers.

It's only natural that Doolo would raid his old, religated club, isn't it? Hardly, given that he's not supposed to be particularly well-liked by the players. Anyone with an ounce of sence would be a bit worried by the prospect of him sending Dwogs down too.

Finn's been released on a free, according to the link you posted.

I'd say the fact that he's one of our biggest earners and that he's always injured has something to do with it. Apparently, Finn and Doolin get on very well though.
