    Shamrock Rovers unveil new signings

    Shamrock Rovers boss Pat Scully brings David Cassidy and Aidan Price from former club Kilkenny

    Shamrock Rovers manager, Pat Scully, has confirmed to a press conference the signing of David Cassidy and Aidan Price from Kilkenny City.

    Price will be the club captain next season as the club attempt to earn promotion to the Premier Division.

    Scully also confirmed that senior players Derek Tracy, Trevor Molloy and Rovers' player of the year Barry Murphy will all be staying with the club.


    Rovers also announced partnerships with Woodies DIY and shirt sponsor, Umbro, and have welcomed yesterday's news the South Dublin County Council have approved plans to complete their new stadium in Tallaght, with work to resume in February.


    Hoops chairman, Johnathan Roche, went on to reveal that the club is in negotiations about a home ground for next season and will make an announcement within the next two weeks.
    City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

    Thats strange because according to their website they have being working to achieve a UEFA licence for Morton Stadium and Fingal Co Co.

      That's because, unlike the previous regime, the Board decided to look for a ground next season very early on. Hence the work on Santry. We may still end up playing there. All will be revealed in the coming fortnight.

      Previously the gombeens in charge waited until the last minute, then approached our rivals, cap in hand, looking for a ground. Obviously Bohs or whoever were only too delighted to offer a ground for rent at a nice high rate. That won't happen next season.
