Munster Senior Cup 2026 - Kerry

    LAST 16
    Kerry FC v Cobh Wanderers

    QUARTER FINALS
Leeds AFC or Lakewood Athletic v Kerry FC or Cobh Wanderers

After making the final in 2024, fell at the first hurdle after extra time in 2025. The nature of cups. Kerry have a good record against non league clubs and will be looking to maintain that to potentially start the new year with a run to the semi finals.

If the new signings are as promising as we're led to believe, then I'd imagine Healy will be fully focused on winning the MSC this year - Cork will presumably be more intent on the First Division title, so remains to be seen whether they'll go at it at full tilt. We've had our big FAI cup run last season, and given the first few rounds are pre-season, it wouldn't distract much from a potential play-off push.

If Cobh Ramblers knockout Waterford and Treaty knockout Cork in the quarter finals, the MSC will be all to play for. MSC and getting to the playoffs should be the target for the season ahead.

Kerry will travel away to Leeds AFC on the northside of Cork City, expected to be on the February Bank Holiday weekend, in the MSC quarter finals.

One presumes, as per the Cobh Wanderers tie, that a full-strength team will be travelling to Ballyvolane tomorrow, will be interesting to see how much game time Kieran Cooney gets.

Good tests against Waterford and Galway in recent weeks. The squad should be in good shape. Would expect a strong starting XI away to Leeds AFC alright.
