Im watching in online, what an awful performance by Pats. Terrible, you'd have to blame the coach. Depressin stuff, the second goal was a joke.

Well done Pats. Would like to see some Swedish post match quotes now :D

LOI sides making a habit of coming from behind this year.

Coefficients up to 32nd depending on Hungary/Bosnia results.

Pats were a lot better in the second half, delighted they managed to score twice. Fair play, a good end to a bad day. Game on!

You'd know a bit about 5-0 games involving Pats of course.

Our away form is far better than out home form so I'm predicting a score draw in Sweden and cracker of a home game.Elfs to go through on away goals.

Psychic or what ? Hope you're only half right though. All you doubters, take it back.

2-2 is a superb result, well done indeed.

Just wondering, did pats seek out to use oriel to train on before this match ?

Also if you get thru and drew say Villa, would the game still be played in Richmond ? Whats the seating capacity now ? wouldnt the tv rights not make up for having to move it toa larger ground ? Id say so.

Fancy Pats to get a score draw away from home.

I seen how good Swedish football is 1st hand when I watched cork win and also Derry two years ago.

Pats to have to much for them.

Theres a man who who knows his stuff.

Can see Pats knocking 2/3 past them at home.

Dangerous talk. Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves here. I'm delighted with tonights result, but there's still a big job to be done in 2 weeks time.

Fair play to St Pats, i lived in sweden for 11 yrs and know that Elfsborg are a very well run pro club with several present swedish internationals.

Breakingnews.ie carry the 'headline' news of man citys shock defeat and villas win but alas no sign of pats result. Whats the betting if they'd lost that it would be there.

Disgrace, particularly from rte.

RTÉ have covered it live on Radio Éireann. Report on the website also

The ko was two hours before the ko for the other two matches mentioned, perhaps there is a quick 'shelf-like' for stories at breakingnews.ie.

Brilliant result for Pats. The league really needed a shot in the arm like this, with all the financial problems announced yesterday.

Great result - Irish Times has decent write up on it and even has Pats favourites to go through now!

the visitors pummelled their opponents with 45 minutes of blistering football.

So after this result what is the breakdown for Irish clubs v. Swedish ones? It seems our clubs have lately had an impressive & consistent record against representatives of a supposedly stronger league

Good stuff, great result. 2 nil down as well.

Lets hope you can get a 0-0 or a 1-1 or better.

Just to note, I think it would be a mistake to play for a draw.

Excellent result, good chance of progression now too. When are tickets for the home leg on sale? I must find my ticket from the last game!

Dodge
15/08/2008, 4:51 PM
Tickets for main stand go on sale on Monday. €10 apparently

Absolutely monster 2d half performance. As proud as I've ever been to be a Pats fan. Their top player is getting €30,000 per game and we played them off the park in the 2nd half.

As already stated our away record is better than our home record so no one is getting carried away yet

Anders Svensson. Talking to their fans over there. They say he's by far the most but when they heard our top earner they laughed. "No one in Sweden is paid that little" Although interestingly enough they seem to be played by game
