Everything in here (http://www.meath.ie/LocalAuthorities/Publications/PlanningandDevelopmentPublications/CountyMeathPlanningPublications/CountyMeathDevelopmentPlan2007-2013-Adopted/CountyMeathDevPlan2007-2013Variations/File,31943,en.pdf)

"National Roads Authority Objects as is concerned that the development will compromise the performance of the M1 and future national roads projects. The application as submitted indicates the current junction with the M1 will be unable to support the traffic generated by the development and will require upgrade. As this junction is subject to a PPP contract arrangement this will be complex, difficult and expensive to achieve."
No mention of parking. Just the M1 and future development

Seen that before but just realised now that the roundabout is actually under the M1. If that is correct the on & off ramps look much longer than normal. There could be a filter lane constructed easily enough at the roundabout or else widen it. The NRA have allowed tailbacks at every M50 off ramp for years without much comment.

the ramp is massive, stretches for ages on the M!, there would be no jams on the M1, rather it would th roundabout. I am sure something can be sorted - just will be interesting to see what.

There's been significant comment on that matter. The NRA is spending several hundred million euro upgrading the junctions on the road and is reducing the speed limit to 60mph.

Some days they even work for a full 4 hours.

They are removing the traffic lights and roundabouts and replacing them with flyovers like the rest of thr world when they built motorways but the NRA knew better. They also now are allowing motorway service stations having insisted before they weren't necessary when the roads were being built.

Given that these guys have screwed up the building of roads how can they know anything about parking/planning for a football stadium.

I believe the roundabout would come under the remit of the NRA? From glancing through the planning details previously I saw the local authority insisted that the entrance to the stadium be set further away from the roundabout to ease congestion.

I really hope I am wrong but I couldnt see the NRA being overruled on an issue relating to roads. I was hoping that at this point we would have seen some arrnagment being amde with the NRA - an agreed traffic management plan of some decription for match days and in return they would remove their objection.

there is still an awful amount of time left.
I have been through this process before in building a house and An bord pleanala are a shower of *ucks.
The can uphold the NRA objection (this means no grounds for appeal), they can decline them (no appeal then for the NRA, or make a recommendation which must be obeyed.
I don't think the NRA can remove their objection once they lodged it.
Less than 3 months away still loads of time to come up with a plan. Probably if Drogheda go to the NRa to look for a resolution and the NRA don't bite An bord pleanala may look on it favourable for drogheda.
I honestly don't know what way this will fall for you
