Judging by the absolutely impressive crowd at the self styled "Connacht Derby" the game is in good health in the West

Nice to see the bombast of the two sets of supporters on here about being massive clubs has transferred to the terraces

Anyone any idea what's going on in Athlone? Can't find any reference to the match on Aertel. Livescore says it's postponed?

an expected win for yourselves could be on the cards. but we are in good form and at home plenty of time to come back.

Wouldn't shock me if you did. Defence hasn't been too great of late.

Watching Sacar Beo and I have to say, I find the expression 'glanta le Brush' quite amusing.

I thought that was a harsh red. Definite yellow.
Thought it was harsh enough myself, he came in from the side rather than behind and it wasnt as dangerous as other challenges. Definite yellow but harsh red

There is another red card in this game yet Kelly seems to have lost total control of the game since he dished out 3 yellows in 3 minutes during the 1st half!

Poor crowd and extremely hard to watch......

tbh - not sure why they decided to show a game from this series of games - not really a stand out fixture that would entice the watcher to sit down and take in a game.

In a perfect world they would have used the opportunity to show one of the European ties involving our clubs next week instead - the Drogheda, Pats or Cork games would appeal more than a scrappy battle in front of cameras focusing a 3-quarters empty stand on TV - not portraying the League in the best light imo
