Another cup exit by the fancied division 1a leaders. Although i do think they will get promoted i think Mungret will struggle in the premier league. To be honest with ya i do think had a few things been changed from this mornings game versus Janesboro that the result could have been different(starting players who don't train and leaving strong defencive players on the bench who are at training every tuesday and thursday to begin with)but to be honest with ya nothing has changed with that team.
Well done to Shannon town to keep the pressure on the top of the league, also to Geraldines goin through in the cup.
Croom 0-6 Pike rovers. Another result which shows the difference in class between the two divisions.

stop talking rubbish will you..you hardly expected a team who are second from bottom of 1a giving argueably the best team in limerick a run for their money..pike will beat some teams in the premier by similar scores throughout the season and have already.bit harsh judging 1a on this game.
As regards the mungret boro match..what players are u suggesting shouldnt have started?

This website is all about opinions and im just voicing mine and i'm sure there are alot of people who agree with some of these opinions.
And we'll just say one of the centre backs shouldn't have started, i'm surprised people knew his name from the lack of appearences he's made in training sessions. Its not as if the team is struggling for defenders with the likes of Eugene mc namara and others sitting on the bench looking on.

You shouldn't have a personal attack on a player just because he was selected to play, this is an issue you need to discuss with your manager but not on this website

I'm not attacking any player, i happen to think that the player in question is a quality footballer. It's the management i'm putting the blame on, matters such as these have been brought up in previous seasons to no avail, it's no wonder mungret have lost players in the past and will continue to this season unless something changes.

As far as i can see the team has gotten stronger each year so i don't know what your saying about players leaving. This year there is plenty of competition for places but everyone has been given a fair chance.
End of.

Agreed, Toldo had a stormer and although Hill were lucky to get a point but we did deserved it, Great goal by Steven Kelly (Prospect).....what did you think of the Ref??? I think he was very bad and done neither team any favours although he is from the Prospect area I think he done them more favours than us, we should have had at least one penalty.

pitch is getting a hard time at the moment with the new dual carriage way on the baggot and the newly developed pitch not ready on time i think its a credit to the groundsman to have kept it playable for all but one game, and 5 games a week at minimum going ahead

The Ville will be missing all their B players (they play MJC at 2pm) that normally play with the A team, so the best they could hope for is maybe a draw.

Summerville v's Mungret off also, pitch looked very bad, water everywhere.
I don't know why the matches aren't called off the day before, the weather was very bad on saturday night and with any common sense people would have been able to know that no pitch would have been able to stand up to that much rain and the match would be off, makes no sense to me........

Same happened to us a couple of weeks ago against ye when we travelled out to Shannon when we all knew the match was going to be called off....Refs should inspect all pitches on Saturday afternoon and make the call then IMO and then let the respective clubs know and save everyone alot of hassle.

At times you'd wonder what they are doing altogether, surely more than 2 matches could have been fixed for this weekend. At this rate the season won't be over and we'll be back again preparing for the next one.....

Yeah its a joke we'll be battling for relagation while other teams(croom) have only 3 played so its likely that teams with nothing to play for will have weakened teams against them,we were down for a fixture last week only for it was called off its a bit of a joke do they not check the tables in the ldmc.

IMO all teams with less than 7 games played in the league should been down for a league fixture this weekend (with the exception of the teams involved in any cup comp of course) especially as there would be no shortage of refs seeing as the OT is on Sunday and there is only 1 Prem game on this weekend.................................what a shambles.

Mungret aren't down for a game because Ger Burke is on the Oscar Traynor panel so that accounts for 2 teams in the league not been fixed for a game.

Shane Guerin is in the OT sqaud but yet Balla play in the MSC Sunday!!!!!
The rule should be 2 players or more in the OT squad for a club to have no game!! (not saying its Mungrets fault though).

I think Mungret should have had a game this weekend. Mungret have at least 5 players on the bench each sunday who are itching to get a chance to prove themselves. Ger Burke is a great player but Mungret do have the strength and depth in the squad to fulfill a fixture this weekend.
