Derek Mountfield (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derek_Mountfield), anyone remember this guy?

Managed City for six months or so till he got sacked after a very poor run. City was the only club he has ever managed as far as i know.

The club was in turmoil after his dismissal and took us ages to get back on track.

The club was in turmoil after his dismissal and took us ages to get back on track.

Jesus he must have been fair unpopular to get sacked at half-time in a game.

I don't remember that happening at all funnily enough, I must have been gone somewhere.

Think we lost 4 nil.

He was the first manager we had to try to introduce more professional approach which did not go down well with the players. He brought in some really poor players from the UK too.

He was 4th choice for manager and had little or no experience of a managerial role before City. A shocking choice by the then board of directors.
