View Full Version : Its on now - MNS
They showed in the good, bad and ugly, didn't realise how bad it was at the game, as I was at the other end of the ground, it was a shocker alright.
On top of the stamp on Rice last week, it'll be interesting to see how many times he features in that part:D
So desperately, painfully, deeply, sorely lacking replays, otherwise no problems with it.

Fahey for GOTM.
Agree, followed by O'Reillys header against Galway, it was like a rocket into top corner.
Disappointed Williams goal against UCD didn't make the nominees.
Is it me or is there something odd obout Emmet Malone.

A joke to be honest, can't understand how it didn't get ahead of some of the very ordinary goals that were nominated.

Thought he looked very bored myself.:)

When is the MNS available on rte.ie. I play myself at eight on Mondays so it would be nice to watch it on my laptop when I get back. Its nearly half ten and all they have is a couple of interviews of the Sligo game

Some very ordinary goals there in the GOTM, it was pretty obvious Fahey would win before the clip even came on, that goal would win just about any GOTM.

Does the dizzyness be a problem at all?

Fahey's goal was a screamer. O'Reilly's goal against us was very good to . . but what was Rice's ordinary strike in Terryland doing there? Mind you, the way things are going, that's the only way United will ever feature twice in Goal of the Month - when the goals are scored against us!
but what was Rice's ordinary strike in Terryland doing there?
Rico will probably pick it to win - he loves ordinary finishes at the end of long moves...

What was Dave Mooney's ordinary side-foot in the corner doing there. There were some goals there to make up the numbers.

Rico has form - I remember he overlooked some cracking goals while judging this on TV3.

Very enjoyable show again, loved the way they managed to get genuine match footage for a match from the 60's for the Lost Archives part.
Fahey for GOTM obviously but that diving header was an absolute cracker aswell...

I'd say there should be sticky thread dedicated to this fine TV show :)
but what was Rice's ordinary strike in Terryland doing there?
It was a poor strike that the keeper should have saved, but the move and flick from Baker, which can't be seen from the far side that opened up the chance is deserving of its place. The camera tried to slow down and catch it, but it doesn't.

If only Fitz had kept his head at the end, we'd have had a right competition for GOTM. :(
Fahey's is quality, even if the keeper was very slow. Diving header gets runner up, IMO.

In the interest of fairness, I'll agree with the earlier point that the placement of the big Shamrock flag was appalling. Made it look like there was a very poor crowd at the game (Main stand only 40% full according to Attendance thread) when it was clear from reports that there was a high attendance.
At least it was kept dry though.

Im afraid i have to agree, that flag looks like it was drawn by a few 12 year olds, something tacky about it.

Still no word back from them. perhaps there mulling it over. has anyone else emailed them ? what kind of response time did you have? It's been 24 hours now
Well I'm sure they have days off- and chances are Tuesday/Wednesday territory is when they're at their slackest, so maybe that's the reason.

Love Tony's column and his wee on screen daliances on MNS.
Makes the league seem very comfortable in it's own identity (if you get what I mean).

A Few people have had this problem (myself included) best bet is to download it and watch it in realplayer if you don't have realplayer download it free here (http://uk.real.com/player/win/)
hope this helps

Eh mite sound like a dumb dumb and its prob starin me in the face, but how do i download the actual video from RTE?
If you have RealPlayer installed, right-click on the video and it should say "Download this video to Realplayer".

When You've installed realplayer a tag "download this video" will come up in the top corner of the video screen on rte.ie
