predictions?
it'll be a tough game, always is against UCD. id say ventre might go to left back and mckenzie will come in for peersy. or else he might play raff left back and doherty on the left wing. we'll havta wait and see. i still think we should be good enough to get the 3 points, would love to see judgy start, i think he gives us that bit extra up front. 1-0 rovers. Faz

I'd say cooke might regret playing such a strong team against kildrum with all the injuries we picked up. It will be tough to beat ucd if we are missing those 4 players. Hopefully we get to see faz, boco and judge all playing cos we having been missing a bit of quality up front. Is there many going?

I'm more confident of us winning now that Peers is out, he was class against us last season.

it'll be tough for Sligo Rovers with 2 top defenders out perhaps a chance for Foyzer to get back in the squad ? I think after many fans urging Paul Cook to put Seamie Coleman on the wing it might work and put Anto Murphy in right back (keep Anto on because he made some great throws into the box against Bohs) Alan Moore and Brian Cash out aswell and after such poor performences in the match against Bohs I dont see Conr O' Grady or Faz starting i think the line-up will be something like this

Brush
Anto Almeida Ventre Mckenzie
Coleman Doherty Feeney (?) Raff
Judge Boco

as i said Faz will most likely make way for judge and Cookie might chance SteveFeeney against UCD

Are you serious? Drop O'Grady and Faz when Peers looks like hes out:(

Id go for this
Brush
Coleman Almeida Ventre Raf
Murphy O Grady Boco Doherty
Faz Judge

If Peers is fit Raf could play left mid with Ventre LB

Theres no way I'd play Doherty in centre mid to be fair

I'd go with

Brush
Coleman Almeida Mckenzie Ventre
Raf O'Grady Boco Doherty
Judge Faz

The only thing i agree with is dropping O Grady, cant see him making the team when everyone is fit and when the ground gets harder, then he can play Boco in the center with Faz and judge up front.
Would def start judge from the start because the team doesnt seem to get going or getting at teams until we have Faz Judge and Boco all on and really going for it in the last 20 minutes or so.
The supporters dont even get into the games really until the last half hour or so either

I think we'll score, so do you. It's simple. You can disect my original post all you want and try to start a petty argument as usual but it's clear what I meant by that post.

With the fiancial situation being as tight as it is,
can we really afford these guys on our wage budget ?
Foy is clearly unfit and isnt even trusted to play against Kildrum.
Moore can only play away games
(we knew what the pitch was like before he was signed)
And Cash is only good for 20 minutes or so.

Well if Foy is that unfit then what the hell are we doing signing him. Is he unfitter than usual ? It actually takes doing to be a professional footballer and be so overweight. Shame as he could be some player. Well if Foy cant run then cut him loose, throw raf in left back tonight so and AN other onto right midfield. Our threadbare squad is already creaking, 3 league games into the season. Hopefully we have enough about us to get a much needed 3 points tonight !!

why would you remove a proven centre midfielder and replace him with someone who doesn't play there??
you could employ some common sense before making daft suggestions in future!

I thought the match was even enough. Both sides played poorly and had few decent chances. A few of the Sligo fans were booing the players after the match, don't know if they were joking or what.

It really really was. Wind and pitch didn't help, but even still. Only consolation I can draw from that game is that youz are as bad as us. And the officials are worse.

Awful game. Brought back all the bad memories of similar games in the old belfield park. The wind didn't help again, so much for summer football! Some of our players looked like they didn't fancy it at all last night. We need them all to put in the same effort as Raf and O'Grady.

We really need to get a win next week to kick start the season. When was our last league win? September? I can see a big divide developing in the league this year and we have to beat the teams in the bottom 6 to ensure we steer clear of any trouble

29/03/2008, 9:27 AM

The big guy at centre back, Almeida I think, had a decent game. Won everything at the back in the air.
