Can anyone on here shed some light on the Heineken "Memory Hotel" adverts
what is the story? is it supposed to be a Hotel where you get to relive your favorite memories or some sort of total recall thing or what, can't work it out at all but the fact that I'm on here talking about means that the ad campaign is working
It's your brain innit? The guys memories are 'checking in' and being stored away for future reference.
Of course his brain has no problem in chucking out more 'mundane' memories and keeping all the memories of him on the lash. He may have 'issues' in the years to come.

you're prob's right there Noby, thats what I thought it was but I don't get the Fire Alarm one where everyone goes hiding:confused:
Exactly, the advert is kinda saying all your best memories
are from when your out on the beer ... which is kinda true :D

He's eating chilli or some other hot food.
Daft ads. One of them has the manager tell the guy drinking the beer (I refuse to repeat the brand name), "You're killing me here." I really hope the irony wasn't lost on whoever wrote them.

That was just making it look like a real hotel ... everyone evacuates on the alarm ... but then they realise its only another memory being stored so
the old boozing memories are kept

Ah I see so it's basically saying: "Drink to forget the bad stuff in your life". why haven't the broadcasting standards people pulled these ad's if that's the message they are pushing

I'm glad someone else doesn't get them:confused:

It's just memories isn't it? The hotel manager is incharge of what stays in and what goes out?
Another way of looking at it is that he is killing off his brain bit by bit by drinking (losing memories etc.) Don't know how Heineken ever commissioned it

It's only working if you're buying their beer/product,that's the test of whether an ad works or not imo.

After seeing the ad I've never touched a hot curry since, I don't like the idea of getting amnesia after a good vindoaloo,
