Rovers 1-0 Odra. First time an Irish club has won both legs of a European game in 21 years - since Rovers against Fram Reykjavik in 1982.
According to Ceefax (who have a proper report up, as opposed to the wasters at Aertel), Rovers dominated and could have won by more. Both the Grants came close before Judas Fitzpatrick (I'd love to know what Rovers have done to him 'cos he was useless when we had him!) scored on 66. Odra's best chance was a deflected free which clipped the bar in the first half.
Rovers now play Slovan Liberec next weekend and the one after. Not sure if they're home or away first leg?
This has to remove any of the doubts about the away leg being a fluke. Rovers, a part-time team by and large, have comfortably beaten a team from the 17th best league in the UEFA rankings. I reckon the Czechs will be a step too far, but you never know...
Well done to the Scum anyway!
