he would bring some experience of eircom league football. if he does put in the effort he could be a very good player for us alright. i wonder what the athlone fans thought of him last season. Also you could draw comparisions with the difference in Kevin Waters 2 seasons ago and Kevin Waters last season, he was a total different player. i think this was maybe due to the fact he was given more freedom to play last year than when he played under o'connor. maybe something similar could be the case wih heffernan if he was given more freedom to play.

All of Limerick's squad have played schoolboy/Junior Football in the past so whats your point?:confused: There is a different transfer date if Limerick want to sign players from another Senior club and if Limerick want to sign a player from a Junior club. I think the one on Wednesday is the one from Junior clubs.

don't know if he was asked. he did say a couple of weeks back that he'd love to play with limerick but not at the moment cause he wants to play in that stupid tournament or something. Also why not ask him again?? he turned down ski last year but who was to say he was gunna turn down kerley this year. kerely is putting together a squad so he was gunna obviously ask as many players as possible that he thought where good enough to play whether they had turned limerick down in the past or not.

Yea id say Jimmy was signed as goalkeeper cover. Peter White too as he was our most improved player last season and id say he offers more then signing back Tomas Hughes. Padraig Fogerty too must be signed, why else would he have played him in all three friendlies thus far. And one of you said Heff had signed, all good sgnings IMO

I think Thomas Hughes is in there as well......christ :rolleyes: I'm sorry but that's a s**t squad. The only players we have are Purcell, Barrett, Colbert, McCarthy, Bruton, Dave Ryan (GK) and possibly Danagher & Harrington. The rest are either rubbish or 'potential but lightweight'.

Where is Peter White? Where is Heffernan? Where is Fogarty/Lally? Where is our backup Keeper? Why has Mike Kerely signed a raft of s**t players yet left out the players above? I doubt any of them, even Heffernan, would have been looking for much more in terms of wages. These lads play pre-season, yet none are signed and instead a raft of nobodies who mostly aren't worth a s**t are signed instead. It's Stephane Jauny all over again. Kerley hasn't a f**kin clue. I only hope for Kerley's sake that some of these players who are clubless can still be signed......otherwise Magic Mike has done it again :rolleyes:
