I was going to head down but woke up sick as hell. What did you think of Sporting? We should be competitive in the First Division but promotion is likely going to be out of reach but I'm still happy with how the game seems to have went, especially as it was against a Premier League team like yourselves.

If they are playing Ronan Frawley centre half and Ryan Casey left full they will definitely have problems at the back.

No offence to either Frawley of Casey but neither has any pace. As I have said in another post somewhere Frawley only started playing well when Brian McCarthy was put in beside him as he had both height and pace

Don't think beating Longford 3-0 counts as paradise any more, even by our standards.

Nothing worse when you're giving updates to someone and they don't bother replying.

Nice one.
harps have won as many league titles and setanta cups as Derry have in recent years. Theres plenty of hype about but all they seem to win is meaningless competitions that the likes of Longford can even do well in.
Its a 4 team league this season; Bohs, Cork, St Pats and Drogs. So don't pretend that Derry are anything great!

They were indeed!
Atrocious weather, gale force wind sweeping the length of the pitch, made worse by the intermittant lashings of rain. Worst conditions I've ever experienced at a match. The open nature of the Belfield Bowl meant it felt the full effects.

What did you think of the set up Hoopy. A lot of work to be done but clubhouse, pitch, all weather facilities, floodlights and pink shirts all top drawer eh?
I thought it was better than some premier grounds I've been in. I'd like us to be drawn in the cup to bring a proper crowd down.
