called into flancare on the way into town.. spoke to vinny gary murphy trained with us tonight and is signing for the club.. fantastic news!
asked vinny will be making a comeback he reckons he will be a better coach than manager! he is absolutely delighted with the way the club is run and there is always around five people in the club that can be relied on if the management needs anything...:)
reckon this could be a start of an new era for us.. one of the lads saw them train tonight he reckons we have some serious players in our squad this season. vinny confirmed that we will playin some attackin football like stephen kennys early days.. ronnie bs pal adrain cregg was also training tonight!

Pity gary murphy didnt stick with the gaa! He is highly overrated, he did f**k all with athlone and the only reason ppl think he is great is cause he is local.. Not a major addition to the squad at all

He has ability.Always looked a cut above in the 21s. Not blessed with great patience however. It'd be interesting to see how he'd get on over a season and if he'd stick it out if he doesnt get his game.

That's him alright.
No goals scored in pre season doesn't bode well. I don't think young Lynch has featured much so far though.

He was talented but faded easily. Also sometimes tended to be a bit lazy. He may have improved though

Good work
He seems to be showing good enthusiasm and has pinned his colours to the mast

But also says if you are looking for him you'll find him in redz ( nightclub ) or another pub mentioned. Add that to "stoner" and it looks good:rolleyes::D

Ah let him alone, he's only a gossen!
Just speaking to a journalist I know who has seen a lot of him and he reckons he's the dog's genatalia. A bit small but unbelievably skillful. Plays up front or out wide.

He's a real Dub as well..Makes as much noise around the place as five of the other lads put together by all accounts. Markedly less Dubs in the squad this year which is unusual. Not saying it's a good or bad thing just unusual!
Need the following info on the following players:
Positions(s):
Age:
Preferred Foot:
Birthplace:
Stephen Brennan
Evan Connolly
Brian Kelly
Jimmy Hussey
Kevin Grehan
Andy Bermingham
Alan Lynch
Michael McCarthy
Thanks

This is one for the books lads. Played against him tis season in the AUL. He was signed from a brand new team called Sea-View Celtic. You should watch tis space too, they're still in the Junior Cup and winning all around them. Mick is an extremely strong front man, the majority of his goals this season have come from nothing. He's made them himself. The lads shot is an absolute thunderbolt. He's a target man upfront but a good bit lippy, doesnt like having to work for the ball but reminds me a bit of shearer when i seen him play. Dont think he'll disappoint.

That sounds like what little I've seen him alright. Thighs the size of tree trunks. He came on against Bray I think it was in one of the friendlies and nearly scored. Cheers for the info.
