The most interesting part of the nite (for me:p) is that I now think John Delaney wears a wig! Time for bed methinks:o

Hi LTID:
My point on the 37 thing is from a merchandise point of view .I am in full agreement with you on the credibilty thing !!!
The Clean slate refers to the fact that the club need not have been put in a position where it required a takeover by anybody.Plus maybe it just me but I kinda liked the community thing and "Soccer Limerick" vibe.
The losses this year were self inflicted and could have been avoided. Do you not agree ?
All the best
John
some good points john, but i dont think our new saviour will be overly concerned with the sale of a hundred or two jerseys when he is potentially taking care of debts that reach probably up to 150k.

True, though iv seen some of his merchandise ideas and am not impressed with the new hat and polo shirt combo.

I've studied Delaney's haircut from close quarters on more than one occasion. It's not a wig, just a fascinating bob. Considering he's a man :p

I was tempted to give it a tug but his 3 'heavies' had me lamped.

What does this "taking over in principle" thing mean?
Is he taking over or not?

It means he's agreed verbally to take over but nothing is signed yet, probably not til a full audit/inspection is done on the club

Just saw that the 4th of July falls on a Friday this year. I wonder if we asked the FAI nicely would they give us a home tie on this date so we can have a right ol' shindig at the Jacks :)

I went to the rugby match (Munster-Wasps) on Saturday. The atmosphere and the support of the fans was terrific. Seeing that really made up my mind. I hope we can replicate that and generate that kind of interest in Limerick soccer
...Christ -better keep bringing him to Rugby matches until he signs a few cheques. Then, and only then, should someone break it to him gently

From the Limerick Leader: "Although McCarthy was born in New Jersey he can trace his roots back to Bennetsbridge in Kilkenny..."

Ah so buttons! didnt Ronald Reagan have 'roots' in Tipp? didnt mean he married his cousin after a week in the pub celebrating the parish's U14 county final win over those 'bally boys'

I say we merge with Kilkenny altogether, airlift Buckley Park somewhere more convenient for us all and name ourselves the Treaty City Super Cats Armada. :)

Possibility of a castle, a cat and a lion in the club crest. Interesting........:D

"Lions don't look like lions on crests, you gotta use horses"
"But what if you want a horse??"
"We usually just tape a bunch of cats together"
