Does anyone know if any friendlies have been arranged apart from the Finn Harps match? Ive heard rumours about a game against a Sligo?Leitrim team as their opening a new ground but I havnt heard any confirmation yet

we should start thinking of a new bus company....im willing to give a hand with the buses this year btw

the one you got for bray would be good feo. we could vary bus companies, i have another one who i think would be interested. myself and rovers1 are not willing to deal with the one we used to get anymore!

the bus company going to Bray charge a fixed fee every time which means a trip to Waterford could cost €40+ each.

ah. how about this
perhaps we could build up a kitty on hopefully a good travelling support at the start of the season. would be a bit risky especially if we are doing crap and no one wants to go but it may work for a while.
we usually get a core of at least 12-16 who want to go to games based in dublin or less distance.and oddly most of the time it turns out to be 15 or 16, so it wouldnt be a problem then as the price would be just about covered.if we were doing well we could build up some money and buses could then run to the games to cork[ x2] and cobh [ x2 i think] with anything left in the kitty if needed. say charging 15euro to harps and 20 to dub+galway+ derry. too risky?

im not sure about the one we got to bray, he has school runs on fridays etc and had to get someone to fill in for him that day so there could be a few complications here and there
we should ring around companys, and i think we should bring it up at the next meeting that its not only Rory, Rovers1 or whoever organising it on there own, but the trust as a whole, because it is the BORST supporters bus like. the extra help could go a long way and if we were ever short on 20 or 30 euro for a bus that maybe we could only get 9 or 10 people could be get some money off the trust to bring us up to the price so we wouldnt have to cancel??

a midweek friendly with manor rangers would be beneficial to both sides . considering they beat douglas hall who knocked cobh ramblers out of last seasons fai cup 4-1 away . the 3-2 result is the best result i can remember by a sligo leitrim side in the fai junior cup and they are now only one win from this years fai cup. congrats and best of luck to all involved

i cant remember tolka rovers or ballynanty beating the first division champions elect . sorry red metal but while abbey are undoubted sligo leitrim supremos they continually disappoint in the fai junior cup - they even failed to field a team this year in kerry - i find this embarrassing for our so called kingpins(some of the players were working on a saturday)

Sorry but that was the Douglas hall intermediate team that beat Cobh last year.Douglas hall have 3 teams juinor intermediate and senior.I am not trying to take anything away from a great result for the manor lads just pointing out a fact.It was a great result and i hope they could go on and win it.It would be great for the Sligo Leitrim league!
