I don't care how long he is out injured just means carrick is not as injury prone which is another plus. Rafa still plays a defensive midfielder behind him!

By that logic Carrick is rubbish, given that Hargreaves was brought in for pretty much the same position he plays

You're wrong, AGAIN. Lets just drop it, for your sake.

You might prove me wrong if you dont mind. Do pay attention to the team sheets? How Benitez sets up the team? He may not have played much this year but I know for a fact Rafa always has either Sissoko or Mascherano playing behind either Gerard or Alonso.

No he hasn't, Alonso has always played defensively in any midfield partnership so whisht up.

Carrick would be in
Liverpool side instead of Alonso!

Arsenal are an example of why England are so crap at international level. They are the best team in the Premier League at present and have ONE England international in their first team squad!

Funny that they were playing poorly yesterday until they took off their only English player and brought on a Dane. Still all things in all it's looking like barring a serious injury list they could very will win this league, here's hoping anyway as they are by far and away the best Premier side from a neutral's point of view

anyone see any of the gunners game yesterday?? Thought eboue's antics were as bad as anything all season, especially the 2nd incident, obvious he aimed the studs at the middlesboro man, hopefully he'll get done by the FA. He also slapped one of the boro players earlier, an incident no worse than Liam Millers red card saturday
