Are u serious???Fairview have come a long way in such a short space of time,it would be great to see the best club in limerick win some silverware this season, with some of the signings they have made in the last couple of weeks they are beginning to look unstoppable

Name one club who wouldn't like to have 20 good players togged out on a sunday morning!! Each one of them aren't being forced to turn up. It says a lot about a team if they are getting big numbers to training/matches, especially when they are out of the two major cups by November. It has to be one of the youngest junior squads in the country, with every position being contested by 2/3 players. Today was Fairviews first game for 8/9 weeks. Obviously you can't keep so many players happy all at once for very long, but the reason there are so many young players willing to turn up and fight for places/mixed with a few experienced heads is because there is a good atmosphere there ,and players can see that something positive is happening there again.

Quick Question!!!
I thought that if a game was called off that the fixture was reversed and therefore the home team lose home advantage???
You only lose home advantage where the game is called off twice I think

your half right, you can only lose home advantage if the home team or the referee call the game off due to pitch being unplayable.also if the pitch is unplayable on morning/afternoon of game then it can be switched there and then to away teams pitch provided their pitch is playable, most of lawson games so far have been called off enbloc mostly on the day b4

On our last and only visit to Shelbourne park, the ref called off the game before kick off and we weren't offered the option to play the game that morning in our own picth, so surely we should now have home advantage?

the rules say ye should alan but ye also have to make yer pitch available on the day b4 for such a situation but if the ref called it off over the pitch then ye should be at home

The reason the ref called off the game was because he said that the weather conditions were too dangerous to play a game of football (it was snowing). When I asked the ref why the match was off he didi not say that the pitch was unplayable..........

So basically what your saying is, the ref didnt say the pitch was unplayable and that he only called the game off as it was snowing???
There was only ONE club member from Shelbourne at the pitch that day, so unless your him, your talking rubbish.
There wasn't ONE Shelbourne player anywhere near the ground that day.
We were there togged out and the ref said to us "I cant play this game, the pitch is unplayable and its like a swamp out there, and it would be too dangerous for the players".
I agree, it had been snowing but it had stopped by kick off, but the pitch was like a swamp.
Anyway, that said, we'll just get on with the game this Sunday, and may the best team win.

If its not on the 4A-4B thread, then your best bet is to keep an eye for it on the limeirck leader paper, and when you get it, just post it the once on the 4A-4B thread and then keep it updated.

Alright A/A were red hot favorites to win this match but would you not give credit where it's due ? If you were at the game then you could have given your opinion.

Charleville 2 Hill Celtic 2 (Hill Celtic won on peno's)
Charleville went 1 up and Celtic brought it back and went 2 -1 up only to let Charleville back in to it in the last few mins. Celtic keeper saved 2 penos. (K Stewart was in goals)

Carew vs Star was called off, most of the Carew crowd were above watching the Pike game.
Not much to be said for Mungret,Pike were 2-0 up after 7minutes,stayed the same until half time, where Pike got another 2 inside the first 10 minutes of the second half and added another 3 after that. They'll struggle if they get promoted next season.

top of the league by just a point, were pike that good or mungret that bad
Premier teams are streets ahead of 1a teams, any chance
of a decent cup tie were doomed in the first few mins
when pike went ahead,no looking back for them then
altho mungret did hit the crossbar when it was 2-0 and
it could have been a much closer game if that had gone
in but it didnt an pike deserved the hammering. I think
mungret will learn a good lesson from this but hopefully
they can continue to go strong in the league and get
promoted which is there main objective...
