Eh, it's been quiet for weeks, you yankee b@stard. We may have lost 2-1, but that's still far more respectable than 4-1. So there :p

If your going to lose you might as well lose whith style - none of this losing by a goal nonsene. While our loss will live on for years in the memory of those lucky to have been there your loss will fade 'like the snowfall in a river'

You can't even lose properly :D

When you're in the relegation zone at the end of the season the FAI will look and say, "Oi these lads beat Cork City FC 4-1. Cork City FC are now champions and in the cup final so Longford Town FC should be allowed to stay up."

20 points with a positive goal difference is more respectable than 11 points with a neagtive goal difference David.

Grunther Out! Sorry I thought that with all these cork fans about the hate campaign would be in full flow, but obviously not now you're winning. Who said you were fickle......
Btw Peader, are you saying you want cork to beat your beloved Bowez to the league? ;)

I still want Gunther out and the Board out. But you only get reaction from these opinions when City are losing.

You're right we are the most fickle supporters in the world.

Hey Dave, I'm still slagging gunther, and the hoofers deccie and coughlan. only to abuse from T-boy.

I still think the guy is tactically inept. any comment that gunthers makes in public only underlines my arguement.

ie "I dont mind losing" or the whole I'm playing an attacking formation and then goes and does the whole 4-5-1 thing.

The mans a moron.

Harsh, James, harsh! Sometimes comments are taken out of context and sometimes certain lazy journos may not be overly bothered about accuracy...

Yanks know nothing about football!
Grab a soda, buddy, and cool down.

whats that v old saying gerry, its an old one so you'll prob know it..harsh but true ! or summit

like when gunther took off a striker (Hartigan i think, but twas definately a striker ) when we were 3-0 down to longford after 25/30mins up in flancare. Clearly poor Noel was to blame for the 3 sloppy goals conceeded at the back and not Alan Carey or Cloin o brien who were having nightmares out there

I could go on and on
what about his phuck up in the interfloppo games

or....

Carey was on holidays so couldn't have been playing. True Colin was having a nightmare & should have been taken off. Maybe Gunthers coped on to him now & we don't even see him on the bench.

Dave Barry whilst a legend as a city player & a good manager lost the league as he couldn't cope with the Pats 352 formation on 3 occasions in a season. I'm not sure what coaching courses Gunther has done but maybe a few more wouldn't go astray?

We had a very poor start to the season but maybe it was all the new players needing a bit of time. I'm not going down the DM road again but the simple fact is Gunther is doing a much much better job as manager. I think Gunther should be judged on his performance at the end of the season. I've been impressed with his eye for talent.

Sure the only football the yanks have is the NFL ;)

'Harsh but true'....is a saying?? :(

I don't think he was blaming Noel for the 3 goals in Longford, in fairness. The goals went in pretty quickly, 6-8 minutes or whatever, well into the first half. It was obvious to most people that our midfield was being creamed, that was where the main problem lay. Hartigan was sacrificed for Herrick who, IMHO, did a decent job in VERY difficult circumstances and succeeeded reasonably well in stemming the tide. Am I to understand that you are suggesting Hartigan should have stayed on, manfully battling in the trenches - as is his form! - against a team overrunning us?
It was a collectively poor performance. I think Longford also managed to cook up a golden performance on the day too. Haven't seen that much of them for a valued opinion and without wishing to offend, they haven't impressed me THAT much before OR since.

I've commented on the Intertoto games before, but, as you're unlikely to be persuaded from your views, I couldn't be bothered going there again.

Have another soda, James. One game unbeaten in eight - keep on grousing, it sure rings a bell.

yeah its pretty embarrassing having cork boys posting more messages than longford people on an ltfc forum. i'd hate to support a team that is so boring that i had to resort to squatting on another team's forum
