If they were to do it, it would be impressive as they'll have to take the scalp of Carrick and most likely St Michael's (IMO) just to make the semi... In which they'll probably meet Bally or Grattan... Yikes that's definitely the tough side of the draw... Those 4 would all be worthy champions!!!

SEMI FINAL DRAW predictions and this is pure opinion an guess work so dont take it personally because it could be all wrong by Monday. But what I will say for definate is that home advantage is a huge boost in the last 16 an onwards. The only real way to judge this is on their Fai runs to date and their form in the Mjc in the rounds previous to this.So hear goes.
Aisling Annacotty or Carrick Utd or Knockainey or St Michael’s or Lisselton Rvs
v
Douglas Hall or Ballynanty Rvs or Newtown or Grattan Utd.to close to call.
Nenagh “A” or Rathkeale Utd or Wembley Rvs or Tramore AFC
v
Leeside or Newcastle West or Regional Utd or Abbeyfeale Utd
__________________
I think on form alone one of either Michaels or Carrick are fav's.They have to be on past history alone, pity is that when they or if they come through their last 16 games they will meet in the quaters.
Ballananty are being quoted as possible favs but I dont know about that.Doughlas Hall are a very very good young fast side and from what I heard about Ballynanaty in the MSC against City they are a bit cumbersome and I think myself and this is just my own opinion the winners of Newtown and ourselves will be playin in Cork in the quaters.I know nothing of Newtown other than they play in Clare so t'is pointless sayin anythin about the outcome of that game an either way who ever wins between us is away again so t'is another hard game anyway
.Wembley must fancy themselves to progress an between Leeside,Newcastle,Regional an Abbeyfeale is anyone guess.

anyones guess on the otherside alot of good teams there.

Wembley Rovers 1-0 Tramore AFC
So it's Nenagh AFC v Wembley in the quarter-finals .
Aisling Annacotty 3 - 1 Carrick
Regional 1 - 0 Abbeyfeale
Watched the Aisling Carrick game. First half Carrick were well on top and much the better side and conceded a very soft goal to go in 1-0 down. AA keeper made a howler early in the second half to let Carrick back in but AA by now were more confident. Carrick very disappointing in the second half though and died a death for the last 25 mins. AA scored twice in 3 mins to get a deserved win.
Heard Regional scored a last minute winner.

thought paul cummins was the difference between the sides. took both his goals really well. u think he would deserve a junior international call up? has been in excellant form all season.

With they way this weekends games went I dont see an out right favourite with the last 8 after this weekends results its not so clear cut. Some good results, some great results an a few bad ones .The quaters is the last round where teams can have the advantage of a home draw so what little advantage teams have ,thats it.The semis is neutral venue and that no doubt will favour the better football sides who prefer the better surface.

Ti's achiveable Hoops but just as possible is havin none at all in the quaters. On form only St Michaels an Grattan from the Mjc quater final line up made it to at least the last 16 of the Fai and only Grattan an Wembley of whats left in the Mjc(please correct me if I'm wrong by the way) made the quaters of the Fai last year.
Here's my 2 cents worth.
Leeside at home are quite capeable of beating regional with the added bonus of revenge being on the cards in that game.Leeside are not the best team in Cork but they are a decent outfit especially at home and play their big pitch very well. Both teams seem to be doing ok this season an will be very confident.
I would expect Wembley to get the better of Nenagh seeing as they were Fai semi finalists last season.Even havin to play away from home can have its good points.Less pressure because your not expected to win can mean you can play your own game an relax. At home you know their is a weight of expectation an this will catch sides I think.Especially the ones who are expected to go through.
St Michaels will not have it easy against Ashling A I presume because ye Limerick sides pride yourselves on being strong at home an ye usually are but I think the pressure to win might be your undoing. If Michaels win in the last 8 of the Fai it will be a big ask to do the same in the Mjc,are they that strong.I understand Paul Kennedy from Clonmel Celtic is with them an hes a crackin striker so they do have the ability.
Between ourselves, (Grattan) an Ballnanty I dont know.I'm told that they are a quite physcial side who are well able to pass the ball around which is a rare find as normally your one or the other. They seem to want to take over the mantle as best team in Limerick an will like nothin better than to do well again this year in the Mjc.4 good games in prospect, with maybe the pressure on the Limerick sides to do well will be the undoing of them, winner outside of Limerick, maybe the year of the underdog................

to be honest i saw ye last year and even though ye beat us and deserved to on the day i really wasnt impressed with ye so unlees ye have brought in a couple of players i do,nt see ye competing with any of the limerick teams or st michaels for that matter ,just going by what i saw last year

St Michaels have 3 current junior internationals and a further 3 ex junior internationals and they have a couple of decent players in around the squad as well. as you said littleman they have paul kennedy who in the last season and a half has scored 70 goals. I cant really look at anyone else at this stage of the competition to be honest but then again i didnt see them beating clonmel town in the earlier rounds either so i supose anything could happen.

Point taken, but Michael's for all they have, have underachived if you were bein honest.Sometimes the bigger names can detract from whats right in front of you an worse again what seems to be bang in form waitin for you.
Michaels,Regional, an Wembley stick out for who they are an what they did in seasons gone by rather than for what they have won lately.I'm not sayin the standard of the teams in this years quaters is down , rather than the emergence of a few new strong sides that have pushed bigger sides back a peg or two.
I like you would place Michaels favourite's,but mine would be because of their name rather than anything else. Theirs a few internationals an crack strikers in the other 7 teams as well an my own sneaky feeling is it will be someone other than Michaels will lift the trophy.
What have Regional won??? Wembly won youth trophy s ,and there is a big differance between youth and junior football.Regional are an up and coming team with a good squad not just 11,but still have not won anything.

balla will beat ye im afraid ,i think this is balla,s year they have been knocking for a few years now and this year i think they have the strenght in dept plus that panel of players deserve to win a munster as they have stuck together for years when a few of them could have moved on/

They always seem to fall at the final hurdle. Again I refer to last years final. Good side, limited football wise, but still strong. Don't see them winning it. But time will tell.
