Wasn't at the agm, so was it decided to print the league fixtures for this season before season starts or is it going week by week again?

You just beat me to it with the 1a thread !

I think this season will be alot closer than last year, but maybe the quality wont be as good.

There isnt much to chose between the likes of Kilmallock, Charleville, Bruff and Herbertstown. Bruff wont be as strong as last year if rumours of the exodus of their best players turn out to be true. Herbertstown didnt look too good during pre-season.

Shannon Town and Mungret will come out on top I reckon, although it remains to be seen whos made improvements since last season.

hill celtic could be strong this season, alot of stories of decent players who signed for them, also mungret i think wil go up probably as winners.

caherdavin will like always be up there but eventually fall short, dunno much about the other teams but it could be fairly competitve due to the fairly good mixture of county teams and city teams.. alot of the city teams wont like travelling out the county!!

Balla

I saw Balla and Geraldines at the weekend in the Patsy Collopy.

Balla got to the final and looked handy enough. They signed a few new players. They could do well enough this year. I dont think they will struggle like last year.

The Geraldines team was full of young players so I dont know if that is their full team for the coming season. Balla beat them 3-0 in the semi. If that was the geraldines team for the season they could struggle.

who are the main teams this years

I suppose Shannon and Mungret will be up there - heard Hill Celtic have a few good signings . Jason O 'Connor will be good at this level

Are Herbertstown going to be good aftercoming down last year. waht about the two teams that came up

Herberstwon were excellent two seasons ago but didnt look anything special in pre-season so I'm not expecting much from them.

I havent seen Dromore recently so dont know what to expect, Kilmallock will do ok imo, but lower half of table.

Main teams imo will be Mungret, Bruff, Shannon & Charleville.
Bruff still have most of last years team and were excellent pre-season.

Your are correct there booster ! Hill Celtic won this morning and beat Mungret 3/2 in a good game of football. Celtic took the lead 3 times but held on for the win in the end. Some good signings this year for them and look strong. Any other results ?

Pallasgreen have started a side so Cappamore lost most of the squad from last year. Must be favourites to go down this year. Would tip Pallasgreen to win 2B by a mile. Shannon Town would be my favourites to win the league if they have the same squad as last year.

we have lost one...he has gone to play in the clare league

apart form that we have signed one and should have a couple of players who could only play a few games here and there last year we should have them on a more permenant basis...we have changed manager recently so we will have to see how that goes.....but we are quietly confident....

Skinner played up front with JOC. That partnership should get a lot of goals this season. They also had Leo Wong and they signed the centre half who left them last year to go to Carew Park, can't think of his name.

Nop it's not Noel Noonan he is playing with Carew Park. And might i add that dodo only came on as a sub, Cossy Maggie were not there, and Ming was the centre half that played Sunday. (he's the other person from Carew) So are ye making Celtic favourites this year ?

Christian Meehan is another Caherdavin player that has signed for Celtic, he is out with an injury at the moment but is going to be back training in the coming 3 to 4 weeks, so that's another guy that I hadn't put the list of signings.

KevB76

Kilmallock 2 - 0 Bruff

Bruff were disappointing, although they were missing a few regulars. There were 4 new lads playing, looks like they could take a while to settle.

Kilmallock looked very good, they were up for it and were very well organised. Their keeper made three super saves. They scored with a penalty in the first half and got a last minute goal as well.

Celtic only could manage a draw tonight, didn't show up at all in the first half and went in at half time 1 down.
Came out in the second half and pinned Dromore back. No Jason O'Connor due to work commitments but was a big loss without him.

Balla weren't much better to be honest. 6 goals in the game, only one goal wasn't a mix up and that was the last goal Balla got. Amount of mistakes all over the field was terrible. Say Balla will be fighting to stay up too. Couple of decent players but too many passangers to do anything in 1A.

Another win for Hill Celtic this morning, should be top of league now with a 2 nil away to the Dines. 2 good goals from Byrnes who played centre forward with O'Connor and to be honest the score line should have been alot more. SCeltic should be top of the league now with Dromore winning last night as well. Any other results for us ?
