Ah in fairness reserve TEs aren't even necessary and the one you've got is one of the better options.

TE's aren't necessary but they come up trumps alot with a few make or breaks touch downs. I'm severly hurting for byes in week six and week eight doesn't look to good.

Tony Gonzalez is excellent as is Drew Brees

Holdout running back Larry Johnson agreed to a six-year contract extension and joined the Chiefs for practice Tuesday, surprising teammates who broke into scattered cheers when he jogged unannounced onto the field. "Lar-ry! Lar-ry," many players chanted. They had already been practicing for about 45 minutes when No. 27 suddenly appeared in their midst and began running plays. Johnson, 27, set the NFL record with 416 carries last year while rushing for 1,789 yards, snapping the team record he set the year before. His six-year deal includes a $19 million guarantee. Coach Herm Edwards said Johnson would not play in Thursday night's exhibition game against New Orleans but would be fully ready by the season opener Sept. 9 at Houston.

By far the best team. Some of the other ones are just shocking. 2 2nd tier QB's, a first tier RB with 3 excellent choices and 2 first tier wr's, 2 more with huge potential. Teams like this should never happen in a draft

Jags to release or trade Byron Leftwich and name back up, David Garrard, as starter for the rest of the season. Surprising and ballsy move by the Jags, but IMHO, Garrard is the better QB and it's the correct move by the team. I wonder if Leftwich will end up in Atlanta? I'm picking the Jags as the darkhorse for the Superbowl. Completely unbiased of course:D. Great defense, great running game and now we have a mobile QB with a strong arm. Big knock on him was his accuracy, but he has looked very sharp in pre season. The only weak link is the receivers. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Jags have really mad a mess of their QB situation the last few seasons and having two players of elite-backup standard in Leftwich and Garrard never made up for not having a player truly worthy of being a starting QB in the NFL. It's a pity because that D is great and the running game certainly does not lack talent.

Previews are up. Wouldn't read too much into them but one team (Burny89) is expected to score 98 in week 1. Pretty impressive.

Morning all,

Stayed awake til half time last night, then the game exploded when I turned it off. Typical!

Glad to see Reggie Wayne got me off to a flyer though. Amazed Brees only bagged a point. Swano I'm obviously up against you. Addi is going to have some season I reckon if he stays healthy.

07/09/2007, 4:42 PM
At one stage in the 3rd quarter Wayne was -2 and Addai was 16. Then Wayne got a TD, Brees threw an intercept and Wayne got another TD! I'm pretty screwed for this week already.

Looks like I'll win my game barring some crazy results tonight, which is a surprise after the thursday night game. In another league in work and one guy is on 138 and still has his kicker to play tonight!

LT ran for about 30 yards and still scored about 20 points.

the man is a class act, even if he don't like the Patriots ;) He'll score next week but my money is on the Pats.
In my money league i've had him the last 2 seasons, he was amazing last year! Had McNabb last year until he got hurt, in the first half of the season those 2 were good for 60/70 points a game

Well, another can of whoop ass ahead for me this weekend. Some week for Bellicheck, why would they feel the need to stoop to these tactics?

NFL fines Belichick, strips Patriots of draft pick

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick has been fined the maximum amount under the NFL Constitution and By-Laws of $500,000 for violating league policy last Sunday on the use of equipment to videotape an opposing team's offensive or defensive signals.

In addition, Commissioner Roger Goodell also notified the Patriots that they would forfeit their first-round draft choice in 2008 if they reach the playoffs, or their own second-round and third-round picks if they do not qualify for the playoffs, and that the club would be fined $250,000.

"This episode represents a calculated and deliberate attempt to avoid longstanding rules designed to encourage fair play and promote honest competition on the playing field," Goodell wrote in a letter to the Patriots.

NFL policy states that "no video recording devices of any kind are permitted to be in use in the coaches' booth, on the field, or in the locker room during the game" and that all video shooting locations for club coaching purposes "must be enclosed on all sides with a roof overhead."

In a memo to NFL head coaches and general managers on Sept. 6, 2006, NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations Ray Anderson said, "Videotaping of any type, including but not limited to taping of an opponent's offensive or defensive signals, is prohibited on the sidelines, in the coaches' booth, in the locker room, or at any other locations accessible to club staff members during the game."

In his review of the facts, Goodell determined that the Patriots' use last Sunday of the video camera, which was seized by NFL security before the end of the first quarter, had no impact on the outcome of the Patriots-New York Jets game.

Goodell also believes that Patriots ownership was unaware of Belichick's action, but determined that penalties should be imposed on the club because "Coach Belichick not only serves as the head coach but also has substantial control over all aspects of New England's football operations. His actions and decisions are properly attributed to the club."

Goodell informed the Patriots that the NFL would closely review and monitor the Patriots' coaching video program, effective immediately.

"I specifically considered whether to impose a suspension on Coach Belichick," Goodell wrote. "I have determined not to do so, largely because I believe that the discipline I am imposing of a maximum fine and forfeiture of a first-round draft choice, or multiple draft choices, is in fact more significant and long-lasting, and therefore more effective, than a suspension."

im losing badly to Dodges (i think) team... as coach, im refusing to take any of the blame and instead ill blame the phoneline going down during the draft. if id changed my starting RB and QB like i was contemplating all week id have at least a slim chance. But im 0-2 now for sure... though i look like im gonna go 2-0 in the Bohs league.
