Odense seem to have the better of a scrappy game from the radio commentary. Kirby left out of the squad but not injured, Egan seems to think there could a "story" there. Ryan Guy is playing for Pat's, they're really down to the bare bones up front.

FT: Carmarthen 0-8 Brann.

Any sign of Vinny dusting off his plus fours? Shocking result for Carmarthen

FT: Carmarthen 0-8 Brann.
And a man sent off.

Rather unusual result, especially given TNS beat Ventspils and Rhyl are now 3-1 up on Haka.

Pat's substitution, Mulcahy for Keane.

Pat's sounding under pressure but holding them out for the moment. Eóin Hand giving out about Mark Quigley defending, and Maguire just put in a last ditch tackle.

20 minutes or so to go though.

I can see into one of the stands at the Oval from my room using Binoculars the stand already seems to have emptied!

bad result for the Glens its a shame so much for Irish League clubs improving in Europe! Ah well at least Dungannon are winning!!

Drogheda were by far the better side in san marino and dan connor only had one shot to keep out and was beaten! Libertas players goin mental with the result!!

Steve Bruce
19/07/2007, 9:03 PM
What about St Pats? What was their score?

A poor result by drogs in terms of they and everyone else expected them to win. But they have got the away goal and Libertas wont live with Drogs in ROI.

Dungannon flies the flag proudly for themselves and the Irish league. A great result and you have to fancy them to go through now.

Glentoran showed their usual brilliance. An embarrassment to Irish League football, one of the biggest clubs in Ireland and they couldn't win a game outside of the 6 counties.

If that was Rovers scraping a 1-1 draw in San Marino, I'd be tempted to throw spuds at the team on their arrival home. With all the money and talent at their disposal, Drogheda should be ashamed of themselves with that result.

We'll get them at home.

That's what Longford told us 3 years ago. We didn't convert to summer football, for sides to scramble away goals against part-time teams from San Marino. You should be beating the likes of them 5-0 in both legs, no sweat. You have the players, the experience, and the fitness to do it, they don't.

mypost, my spud throwing friend, we have a real opportunity to take them at home. If we can't do that then lambast us but right now it is but half-time.

If we don't get through to the second leg I will deliver half a stone of kerr pinks to your home for you to toss at United Park the next time you are in town.

Decent result for us against a superior side. We defended well and although Odense had about 70% of posession only created about 3 chances. We had one chance (maguire should've done better with a header from a Fahey free kick)

It wwill take one of our best ever performances to get a postive result in Odense but stranger things have happened
