To compare him to some Irish university amateur player is to miss the point.

US univeristy amateur player = Irish univeristy amateur player. Seems pretty obvious. What point are we missing?

whatever about the two senior leagues , college sport in the states is far superior to here.

I still think it stinks that this guy got an Ireland cap, regardless of how good he may be in 6 years or how good/bad the MLS is.

I don't see the point in singleing out Lapira anymore than some of the other caps Staunton has thrown about to keep his cronies happy for example Alan O'Brien, who now has a number of caps some in actual competitive matches.

As for the EL being better than the MLS. Biased ill-informed nonsense. How many regular international players of any nationality play in the EL?
