Cook wasnt too keen on him for obvious reasons. There would of been some sort of pay off like Choice, the Pole etc.

He is entitled to as much money as is in the rest of his contract though. So if he was on a big wage and was signed for two years it would have been big.

i never really thought jay would make it in the premier division. i noticed after the longford game all the team were warming down together and joking about but jay was on his own looking quite annoyed. McDonald had said he improved a lot over the off season but i never really saw it myself

I think he would be an excellent signing. Was impressed with him the last time Shels played in the Showgies. Can't see it happening though, wages and travel would be a problem.

i wouldnt brwak the bank for him as we are not too badly of in central midfield position(curran,boyd,ogrady, hughes). we badly need 2 strikers and 1 centre back, especially as peerss suffering.

He may be past his best but I think Alan Moore is definitely the type of player we need at the Showgrounds. Considering the way Cook has the boys playing, passing to feet, one two's around the box, Moore would suit our style.
