the bench was very small in cork.
Maybe thats why they could only fit four on it :D

Lads, Just wondering if there's any chance of us resigning Michael McNamara now the gaelic season is over im sure he'd fit right in as he's definately fit enough and we could sign him no problem as he is a free agent. Would definately strengthen the team imo....

McNamara was dodgy enough in the Premier Division. Don't think he's up to it really.

Agrees, Sligoman and how that eejit Connor left McKenzie out and played Peers at right full is a great mystery.

To be fair to Connor , no one was calling for Peers to be played at centre back last year , McKenzie when he did play last year looked shaky enough I thought.

Think he'd be a great addition to the squad but he'd never go full time

Rovers1, the strongest back line available to us last season was Coleman, Peers, Burns, Foy.

To be fair Avvenalaf was not picking the team. I never seen seamie playing till this year but i will wager he did not become a good player in the close season.
Its all speculation really , but I'd say the year in the 21s done him a lot of good and he probably wouldnt have been ready for the first team straight after arriving here

Hughes to sign now is the next big step.

I'd imagine Hughes will, as he has a young child and wife, and apparently loves it here.

If he gets significantly more money at the like of Drogs it would be a tight call.

Stability for the family or more money for the family?

Hughsie PLEASE DONT GO, DONT GOOOOW-OW-OWOWOH !

Hughes is currently in contract talks with us. Cook also revealed they officially turned down a cash offer for Hughes from Drogheda during July tranfer window.

Does anyone know if Gordon (who I hear is decent) and Meredith have been cleared to play yet? They've got clearance now but can't play in the cup as they needed to be registered 2 weeks ago apparently. Should be fine for Galway though.
