It's not lazy parenting, just like teaching your kids to cross the road isn't, ie there are risks in life but they have to be weighted up against getting on with life... if you'd read and ubnderstood what I 'd written in previous posts, you would of seen that I said it is a pity they are exposed to this stuff and I still stand by that ... I'm by no means a perfect parent but one thing for sure is that I don't engage in is 'lazy parenting' and so I think your lazy parenting comment is wrong.
Its hard to understand your posts, as your going around in big circles
If its a pity they are being exposed to it then stop exposing them to it , but as ive said id be very surprised if your kids or any kids really noticed and knew what the mags where .
But again this is nt about your kids its about adults being denied access to a game , If its now been dropped by nintendo and playstation then chances are it will be tonned down and re released .

Quick conspiracy theory
The first Manhunt game sold reasonably well
The second Manhunt game cost significantly more to develop, as it's on more platforms
With the game getting banned, the game itself has received massive amounts of free publicity
Most advance reviews (e.g. ign.com, eurogamer, etc) said the game was an improvement on the first, but not an outright classicI wouldn't be too surprised if there's a toned-down version in Take Two/Rockstar's offices ready and waiting to be released on the back of all the free (there's that word again) publicity, probably along with the advertising "The game they don't want you to play" or some other such nonsense.

(1) Not going around in circles, again all I'm saying is that it is a pity young kids have to see this stuff and that IMO is a poor reflection on the state of Irish society... it's not earth shattering etc...just a pity and you can feel free to agre or disagree with that
(2) Agree the original theme of this thread concerned a playstaion game and I went off on a separete but broadley related issue as often happens in debates of this nature.
(3) I think we've done this one to death and apologies if I've bored or annoyed anyone... that was never the intention

I was thinking the same but its rockstar games they dont need the money never mind the money they have allready made from GTA but microsoft just paid 50 mill dollars for two episodic add ons to the GTA4 game , im not sure what this will include im presuming its extra missions etc for GTA4 .
If i was rockstar id just turn around and tell sony and nintendo to release it as is or they will give GTA4 to xbox . GTA and pro evo shift more consoles than any other game loosing either of these games would kill the playstation 3 off completly .
But i have a feeling the toned down game will a cheat "released" that will unlock all the gore .
From what ive heard the game is pretty poor and the gore doesnt take up much off it

Doesn't Fifa still outsell Pro Evo Anto? I know great things are expected of Pro Evo after getting the club license but I think kids still go for the easier to play, graphically better Fifa series

Id say so EA are good at marketing there games to fool kids , but i dont think too many kids can afford a ps3 so its more of an adult gaming system and from looking at what people who are thinkign of buying a console are saying its the same games that keep popping up mainly GTA 4 and pro evo . Im still waiting to see someone say ill get a ps3 when fifa comes out
I think if you got an exclusive deal on either of thoses games you would corner the next gen market .
FIFA outsells mainly due to the licence but when PES goes platinum it sells more
