Dundalk`s new signing Robbie Doyle got off to a flyer last night, a clinical finish on his debut, looked decent enough and pretty fit too.

Have a soft spot for Doyle. came into Pats when we were at our lowest ebb and did a fine job. Never lacked effort

100% impression of a headless chicken he does. Probably good enough for the first division as he's prone to the odd moment of brilliance

ah this is only good for ye.i hoped he would have stayed so we could give him a good bit of abuse in cobh in a weeks time.although he is a time waister.,that will never be good enough

He was always a big prospect at City. Dolan played him a good few times as a 17 year old back in 2004. Always looked a better player then Behan just never got the bit of luck.

Two signings for us: Barker, big striker from Blackburn. First name Ronnie. Masic, midfielder from Czech Republic, hasn't played outside there. First name Magic. Spelling of surname almost certainly wrong. Both were in Waterford last night.

Only signed for them in March, didn't he? Sounds like a Fenlon buy that a decent manager is now sorting out.

What's wrong with signing players that achieve on a local level and giving them a shot?

Absolutely Nothing

Of the team we'll have out against Cobh Saturday I reckon nine will have started at local level :ball:

It's the Kildare League so wouldn't be the same standard as the Munster Senior League but he has played well for the Oscar Traynor team for the last few seasons. It's hard to see him making an immediate impact at Eircom League level but he has done really well at local level and deserves a chance to show what he can do. He comes from the same club as Trevor Bowers who did well for us last year until he got injured

Here's something you won't find me doing all that often - I'm going to quote the Sunday World.

Luton are keeping tabs on St P**ricks Athletics Joseph Ndo. Boss Kevin Blackwell has already signed Paul Furlong and Paul Peschisolido and now 31 year old Ndo - named Irish player of the year in 2006 - is wanted.
Ndo,who won 21 caps for Cameroon, still has two and a half years left on his contract but is expected to join the hatters for a nominal fee.

I believe Ndo got Irish citizenship about two weeks ago. If so, he'll have no trouble moving there.

Isn't he injured though?
