big switch out to joxer on the left and he rolled a good ball across the the 6 yard box and rice busted a gut to get on the end of it for a tap-in. decent counter attack i suppose

Bohs booking for diving when it looked like a free on the very edge of the area. Think Kelly called that one wrong.

Kelly books Joxer for diving even though he was fouled. Did the same to Casso when we played pats. Does anyone rate him as a ref?

He could have stayed on his feet but expected a peno. Then again i seen 4 replays to judge that.

But hey at least Boh`s seen our box for a 2nd time.

Anyone know why Bohs chose for their keeper to be in the sun for the 1st half?

Sean Connors tracksuit is horrible fashion crime. How can his mother leave out in public like that? :D

Pats played the best football in the 1st half, Bohs seemed to struggle with Pats formation.

Scrappy 2nd half.

Win for Bohs is clearly best for the league.

Says a lot about this League when you've got a player with "fat tits" lying 3rd in the scoring charts with 8 goals already this season...

tbh - I'd rather take your so-called "hooh hoof hoof" if it sees us sitting second tonight with 9 clean sheets out of 13 games.

Sure it's a far better return than playing flowery tippy tap passing football and finding yourselves 8th in the League...

It'll give something else for the bitter Sligo fans on here to harp on about - add it to the nonsensical ramblings about Sean Connor (despite the fact that if a better job came up then he would leave), the accusations that Bohemians are utter rubbish, etc.

It's bad to criticise your betters lads - you should really know that...

Hate losing to teams that play like that, at least if your outplayed and lose fair enough hold your hand up and say "they were better" but when they played a flat back 8 and hit you on the break twice with their only 2 shots on goal. Damn that sucks.

Fecking football...your a cruel mistresss but at least your consitent.

Is that a quote from Buckley??? Because I'm not on my own in thinking that you weren't great tonight. Hoofing can get results, but it won't win you a League. Congratulations on the result all the same.

you'd have to say that kind of gameplan if it comes off can be mighty effective.

A bit like the old German game from the 80's

It sure as hell can be ugly (ask Drogs on the subject of the 1-0 grinding win) - but if it wins things then I have no qualms about it.

Rather win things and appear attritional than play a game that's nice to look at but wins you bugger all (like Tottenham under the management of Ardiles a few seasons back)

its a bit rich of a Pats fan to criticise any teams style of football with the shockingly sh1te football you lot have produced over the years... great result for us all the same. We'll be there or thereabouts at the end.

Thankfully (i feel dirty for saying this) the EL has been the place for ball playing teams to prosper. All EL winners for as long as i can remember played ball Shels Cork Bohs and Us back in the day have all won it playing ball. Hopefully that continues this season as having played all the top teams only Rovers and Cork play ball.

We always played ball or at least tried too, last few seasons prove that we always lost as we lacked something this season we go all or nothing on playing ball with the players that than do it. Shame Bohs are the new Drogs but hey sing when your winning cos everyone knows winning like that means everything.

That's one of the main benefits of the summer switch - the opportunity to play the passing game is now a viable option.

Bohs have shown in places this season (the demolition of Longford being the major example) that when they can be arsed to play the passing stuff then it's as effective as the results of the so-called "hoof" shown in other places.

But as said previously - I'd rather take the trophies playing the long stuff as opposed to finishing second or third playing the fancy stuff

That's rubbish though isn't it..

For many years (and relatively recently too) Pats played by far the most negative, boring, uninspiring football in the league. It's great that you're producing some nice stuff now, but don't try and pretend it's always been that way..

Umm point to what team we had that didnt? The ones with the powerhouses up front like Gilzean? Umm thats it im out cant think of any other teams we had that had someone that big up front with the clear intention of playing it to him to win the ball in the air.

Always thought we had good ball players meself just not enough of them :( Bucko Russel Gormley Foley2 Fahey etc:

I've heard that the football Pats played under Kerr wasn't very attractive. Considering a lot of people thought Kerr's Ireland played unattractive football I wouldn't know what to believe. Ireland under Kerr produced the best footballing display I can remember in the Amsterdam Arena with a very weak team. We had a good style of football under Kerr.

Sorry but going out to harold cross and inchicore you always knew the game would finish 1-0 or 0-0 and had very little expectation of anything else. Bohs and Pats games have always been tough on the eyes, and don't kid yourself that thats all down to Bohs. Result is you have not scored against us in 2 games and we have 4 points from those games, still I guess you may have played the prettier football :p

The entire time Dolan was manager for a start, and for a couple seasons after he left Pats were dire to watch. I wasn't around before that, but i've heard you were just as boring in previous seasons as well.

The tactics consisted almost entirely of hitting it long, and hoping to win a free kick. There was no hint whatsoever of the team playing entertaining or exciting football.

Peno that was given was defo inside, peno that wasn't was too far away to judge so I'll go by what TV viewers reckon.

Bohs were clinical on the break and solid at the back, three points, end of. We were pretty in the first half without creating enough chances. Awful second half from us. Bohs resilience will keep them in touch but can't see them as contenders. Disappointment, sure, but no gripes - all tonight does is wipe out the cushion nice Rovers (;)) gave us on Friday.
