Does anyone know if there is a thread for the FAI cup.
I assume there is one somewhere.
Anybody know when the 2nd round draw takes place?

Think its 31st May

There's no thread in the LOI section. Think there's one in the Junior section

No real point in one until we find out who plays who

Does anyone know when this is going to happen? Cup weekend is 17th or 18th June so I guess it would have to be soon?

Yeah the draw is on while we play Dundalk so no1 from Mons will be able to attend.

I can't believe they have the draw on at the same time as a league game!

I hope our clubs dont get in trouble for having no one there!

It was probably done to make sure Maxi will be in Oriel and not at the draw...

Dont think he is a steward anymore but they held a fundraiser in the club bar for him to help pay his bail/fines/compensation etc. so it seems that the club support his actions.

Read on the Irish Tifo forum that he still goes to the game and even signs autographs. In saying that it could be a pish take :o

The rest of the town knew what it was for, so the club knew as well despite what they'll say

Probably recorded and shown 'as live'.

It said members of the media should be in attendance by 5.30, just to get everything ready I assume. The draw will still be live on the 6.01 news.

And the excitement starts to build. Who do you want to draw?

Personally I'd love to see Wexford drawn away to Pats or Bohs. Potential annihilation but would be a fantastic experience and atmosphere. Plus it would be nice and handy for the Dublin based Wexford crowd.

Bring it on!

Home draw is all we want really, that said I'd love for us to draw Cork for some reason and we want to avoid bringing Rovers down incase some of the unwanted Rovers and Limerick 'fans' decide to make an appearance for the game

Trust me we feel the same way, Limerick is the last place i hope to have to travel to for a game for the forseeable future! Closely followed by Dundalk!

A home tie against anyone for us, preferably aganst someone who may actually bring a travelling support, for financial & atmospheric reason!!

Home to no-hopers, sorry non-leaguers, as it provides a good chance for a 5-6+ goalfest. Good warm up for playing the harder sides later on.

Drogs vs Bohs by far tie of the round. Finn Harps have the best chance of an upset.

Do Salthill only have U-21 players?

Damn it, another trip to bloody tolka. Would've been nice to laugh at the down and outs at TC.

Douglas Hall v Ramblers - very suspect! :D Should get a nice crowd at TC for them.

Salthill's Junior side qualified for the 2nd round of the FAI by beating Avondale(recent winners of Intermediate Cup for 2nd year running) in first round. Finished 3rd in local league after last day dramatic climax when the title could have been theirs. A good mix of good young players from the U-21 side and players with League of Ireland experience. Don't think they'll beat UCD but will put up a good account of themselves.
